Thomas Mahady, b. June 1797, and Catherine Maher (aka Meighn), b. abt 1807, are listed as MMM 126 in Matt Mahady's marriage directory. Their marriage and children's baptisms were listed in the Granard Parochial House Registers. Children John, Margaret, Eliza and Jane arrived in New York aboard the B. Aymar on 13 Nov. 1845 with their last name spelled Meghody. I can't find an immigration record for Thomas and Catherine, but they settled in Cambridge, Massachusetts where they had two more sons, Thomas W. Mahady in 1846 and Daniel James Mahady (my great grandfather) in 1848. My grandfather, Edward Francis Mahady, b. 1876, was a prominent business man in Cambridge and Boston, owner of a surgical supply business called the E.F. Mahady Co.

hi my granny was julia mahedy, my mother (her daughter)is 91 years of age, we were thinking of having dna done, to go back as far as we can, any advice would be great.
