Back in the 1980's I was in contact with a Terri McCuin in reference to my husband's genealogy In the process we discovered her husband was related to my husband's side through the Gaines& Brawner line. Also we discovered she was related to my grandchildren through the Wines line&another, (I believe Bell) but can't remember. Since she moved the last time we lost touch with each other. In the meantime I moved as well & trying to find her. I would appreciate if she is still there, if she would contact me at this Email. I will be happy to send my address as well. Thanks in advance! Would you have anything on the Carrs , Gaines, Brawners & Botts in the Bristow area?

I am interested in visiting your group to learn more about methodology. Also,
I have recently had a book published on the Kansas Territory for which the research involved tracing some of the pioneers and their families. Would this be of interest to your group for a possible program topic?
Thank you. i look forward to coming to a meeting when I return from my book tour.

There is a book about the Brown's in Prince William County. William Brown is my ancestor. I was just looking for historical pictures as I am on the West coast.

My ancestors lived in Prince William Cty, Stafford and
I believe a James Whitecotton received a license to keep a
ordinary at the Royal Oak Tavern in Dumfries. We are looking
for any information on the Whitecotton's in early VA.

Greetings from a former member. I was club secretary there in the mid 70's. Left your area in 1986 and came to Orlando. Was an Xray tech for 41 years retiring in 2007. Have served as President of the American Indian Assn of Florida (have Lenape ancestors) and am currently the Sec'y/Scribe of The Greater Orlando Civil War Roundtable. And I'm one of the Lecturers for the group. I haven't been up to Va for several years, the last trip was by Autotrain. Probably no one there
still remembers me, but I have good memories of your group. Best Regards, Jack Brooks

My family has been here at Kinsley Mills,Buckland,Virginia since 1818 when Jacob Delaplane came to work the mill.He was my Great Great Great Grandfather and is buried in the graveyard just outside the house. A lot has been written on the history of the family and the place and there is a park and a housing developement named for the Delaplane's Kinsley Mills in Manassas. I have kept the homestead in the family for the sixth generation and can only hope it will remain in the family for many generations to come .

Feb. 9, 2013 Hi, one of the branches of our family tree may go to Prince William County. Can someone please see if Nathaniel Tyler (1795-1835) left probate records? (On the 1830 census there is a Nathaniel Tyler of the right age, with five children in the household.) I would very much like to find the names of the children. When did his wife Caroline die in Prince William after 1830? Is she buried there??
Clues and suggestions will always be very welcomed!

Hello, I am researching an African American family who lived in Prince william County. Their surname was Moore, they were owned by the Ewell family, and resided at Edge Hill, in the Dumphries Hay Market area. Henry Moore married Sarah, nee unknown, at Edge Hill. They had at least five children, whose names I know. I am particularly interested in plantation records that would indicate family relations(there are a couple of other families who appear to be linked to the Moores), and records of purchase, sale, inheritance, or lease of labor related to this family. I would appreciate any assistance you could provide.

I am a direct descendant of Charles Ewell, who built Bel Air, through his son Jesse, then Dr. James Ewell, his daughter Olivia Frances, who had a son Dr. Frances Ewell Martindale, who was my great-great grandfather. I am interested in Bel Air, Stony Lonesome, which is/was near Nokesville and was where Richard Stoddert Ewell was raised. Today we get our vegetables from a farm there!

Denny - Great job on website. Sorry I have wandered away from the society for a while. My work days are changing and after a few trips and birth of grandson in April, I might be able to join up in July. At some point I want to find out how you made your personal website so neat. I have tried to put my genealogical info on a comcast site, but can't make it look good. Have switched to shutterfly.
