My friend, Dan Floyd, formerly of Cadwell, Ga - now of Florida - and I chat back and forth. He told me he was the 3rd male in his line to be named Daniel Webster Floyd. Your site caught my eye as it has a lot of his (and actually my) genealogy. My father was Earl Lamar Daniell of Cadwell and his mother was Clara Ethel Parkerson, dtr of Isaac Newton Parkerson and Vianna Jane Peacock. (I enjoyed many great meals and visits at their home as a child in Eastman.)
There seems to be a possible(?)connection of my Florida friend Dan Floyd to the Peacocks/Parkersons of Dodge County - which, if so, would mean we could be cousins. Maybe you and I are cousins, too! (???)
I have researched my direct line back to Gov. Robert Daniell of SC (1646 -1718) and to Major Gen Robert Howe of the American Rev. War...I am a member of First Families of SC and the DAR. (Took lots of work to get all the required proof ready - I am not really a "joiner" but while living (at one time in Charleston)it seemed a shame not to get the evidence/proof together for future generations...
My mother was a dtr of Charles Linder Webb and Minnie Bell Thomas of Dublin and many people have kindly shared their Webb family data with me. If you know of any Webb researchers, I will be happy to share any Webb data I have. (I have not been successful with the Thomas line - but have not given up the search!)
Any assistance regarding Dan Floyd's lineage will be appreciated.
And, thank you for sharing your wonderful and informative family information. If I may help you in any way, please let me know.
Fran

Betty, I spoke with Bruce Ross about getting more about the parents of James Alexander Ross. Good luck right? I want to let you know I am the great, great grandson of John Franklin Ross 1863-1918, and Judea Branch Ross 1865-1932(I have a picture of them on wedding day I can send). This may be a different John based on dates, however his father is Lott Ross(confederate army)1840-1864, and grandfather James Alexander Ross. I want to know if anyone knows the connection going back to Scotland and if any of us can trace to John Henry Ross(principle Chief of the Cherokee Nation)? Thanks for whatever help anyone has and let me know how I can help. Sincerely Chris

Hi, Like your site design. I am a professional site designer myself, just finished the updates for a Legal Services site dealing in Official Government Apostille documents and things for birth certificates, college diplomas, visas, marriage certificates etc so that they are recognized as genuine by foreign governments worldwide.
A handy service for those needing to have documentation certified or notarized for international use (like when tracing family etc or proving you are really the next of kin to someone who unfortunately died abroad)
Apparently an Official Apostille is accepted in over 61 countries so stops Foreign Bureaucrats from turning your ancestry search into a nightmare.

Thank you so very much for all you have done. I am a decendentof William D. Ross son James Asa(that's the middle name that we have been given) who married Nancy Hobby and had two children Sarah Elizabeth Missouri Ross and James William Ross (my grandfather) who married Laura Elizabeth Johnson and had 13 children . My father Eris Ralph Ross was one of those 13 children. The family lived in Colquitt County Georgia and is buried there.
I have visited William Daniel Ross grave site at the Hollywood Cemetary in Richmond, it is most impressive and gives on the sense of who we are and where we came from.
I would be very pleased to be able to pass on to my two sons the information about the Ross family. Is there someone who I could contact to get "good copy" of the Ross family tree and good copy of the photo's.
