Hello, I was trying to find information on my grandfather because I never did ask him his family history when he was alive when I wanted to. (You think everyone is going to be around forever until one day you wake up and realize it's too late!)

My grandfather was born Eric August Carlson. I believe he was born on the boat coming to America from Sweden. He lived in Holbrook, MA but I know my grandmother was originally from Michigan so I don't know if he was too. Sorry if we aren't related. :)

My husband is the grandson of Firman Ivan Carlson who resided in Burlington, Iowa. I know that Firman's parents came straight out of Denmark, but know little else. My mother-in-law has some old letters, but since they're written in Danish, we know very little about what they say. Being from Iowa, none of us know Danish, imagine that! Does anybody have any info on this branch of the family tree?

Interesting. Jane is my 6th great grandmother. There is some information you probably need regarding George Lillie and his other wife. Samuel b. 1665 is actually the son of 1st wife Hannah Smith, she died 1666. Hannah Smith is sister to Mary Smith who married Jeremiah Swain. Jeremiah Swain is brother to Mary (Swain) Marshall. This Mary was the accuser of Jane during the witch craft trials. If you are interested in other information please email me. Thanks for your website. Great! Carol Fish

Great site. Ebenezer and Rachel Baldwin Harris were my 4th great grandparents. Their daughter Olive married Ephraim Jones in Portland, Chautaquah County NY in approx. 1842. They were tragically killed on Feb. 10, 1862 in accident with their carriage and a train in Dunkirk. I have a lot of Info on the Baldwin and some on the Harris families but have not been able so far to find any info on Ephraim Jones's family and parents. Ephraim, Olive, and Olive's parents Ebenezer and Rachel Baldwin Harris are all buried in Sheridan Center Cemetary, Sheridan NY. Anyone who could provide any clues to Ephraim's heritage would be greatly appreciated!

Eads. They had several children including, Hannah, John,

Any help with this St.John/Eads family would be

St. John will killed when a tree fell on her.
Her children were pretty young at the time.

I am the grandaughter of Florence Linea Hagstrom Carlson Carlson, the second wife of Hugo Carlson, who married Hugo in 1956 if I'm not mistaken. As I'm sure you know Hugo died in 1967, right before my family, Paul & Lucille Simonsen moved to York Pennsylvania. I remember Edwin and Svea quite well and was in their house on Carver Street several times in my younger years. Edwin & Hugo were unmistakenly brothers as they were so much alike. I remember Aunt Yarda quite well and that she used to pinch my cheeks everytime she saw me. I vaguely remember a few other family members but as far as names I'm drawing a blank.
I'm now 55 years old and, although my life was really offtrack for many years, I am doing well now, but managed to alienate my immediate family before I got my life on track.
My folks are now living in Florida. I would love to hear from anyone who cares to write. I was really tickled to find your site. Please take care. Thanks, Becky McMullen

Hi Deana, I've been looking at your cemetery sites. I spent over two months in Titusville, PA, this summer, and did a lot of cemetery prowling. Am looking for graves of the Sturgis family, and they're hard to find. Had to dig in the weeds of the abandoned Frisbee Cemetery in Rockdale Twp to find a couple (GGGGUncle David Sturgis & wife Elvira), then ran out of luck on finding the other I was really hunting, GGGUncle Horace. My family is connected to yours via Clarissa Jane Sturgis, who married Oscar Goodwill, and Frank Sturgis, who married Harriett Goodwill. Happy hunting.

Thanks for letting me browse. I am putting together a family book for my aunt and Uncle, Floyd Neil Maynard to give to his children. His health is failing and I have been frantically searching for ancestors to help me and we have the book almost completed. I am dedicating a copy of the book to the Wattsburg Historical Society in Honor of my uncle neil for anyone else looking for family information. He is the best uncle in the whole world.

I am in the early stages of researching my mother's family lines. I have a load of information from research my grandfather started back in the 50s. He drew a link to Samuel Brown, but I am still trying to decide if it is the same Samuel Brown (one of them) that you have described on this web page. I was led to believe the family name started as Braun and that the family emigrated from Germany, via England, about 1710. Of course, little of my grandfather's research is accompanied by resource information.

I very much appreciate your web page, even if it turns out that we are not linked. I've also noted your surname link "Titus". That may be a connection on my father's side! Thank you for your hard work and also for the many web links you have provided. Jen Phillips Krause

Wonderful website. Hope someday I can do as well. I was searching for decendents of Samuel PENNOCK b 1679, Compton, Yorkshire England. William is one of his sons. He was born in Hebron CT but he first, and then his brother James and sister Hanna moved to what became Strafford. VT. They are the first to 'break ground' there. Lee Pennock Huntington wrote a very interesting little book about this family named Brothers in Arms. It starts with Samuel and Mary (wilson) comming from England and follows them through the Rev. War. Published by The Countryman Press, Inc. Woodstock, VT. (61 pgs) Publisher's price $7.95 Price I have found on internet-$20+. I am trying to contact the publisher for buying it direct. I am a decendent of William's brother, James, who was born on the ship coming over. I noticed there were no sign-ins from a Pennock sooo now there is. Now I know that William had at least one child. I am tracing the migration of this family. I am from teh ones who went to IN and then MO. My home state. Again - GREAT WEBSITE!!!!! Delores (And good music, too.)

My 3rd great grandfather, Amos/Amey Ferguson was born in Dutchess Cty, NY. The family finally settled around Chautauqua, NY on Town Line Road and in Bemus Point, Jamestown, Fluvanna (where Amos and my 3rd great grandmother Amy Arnold Ferguson are buried) and Warren, PA.

There are many similarities to my family's migration and yours and at least one common name, Ferguson. So far I have not found a connection. I am looking for the identity of Amos' parents. I have traced Amy's Arnold line back to RI where a number of my ancestors are from.

Best regards,

Tom

Very nice site, and I know it took a lot of work, time and tears. On the French Creek map, in area 35: Mrs Garfield was my Gr Grandmother, my father later bought the farm across the road from her and that is where I was born and raised. Area 45: G.(George) Gaffield was my Gr Gr Grandfather, he used both GARfield and GAFfield, but was buried GARfield, Tifft Cemetery, French Creek. Area 25: T.(Thomas) Spinks was my Gr Grandfather on my mothers side. I too have a copy of the above map. Thanks for all the hard work, Dick Garfield

Hi Deana,

You left me a message about the control panel and music. I'll tell you, in various tutorials about control panels, I have seen umpteen methods, to the extent that I was left shaking my head about which was the best choice. If you're still looking for direction, e-mail me and I'll send you the URLs for a couple of the tutorials I found most helpful. It's a pain in the neck that the panels don't look the same when viewed with different browsers. I happen to have both Internet Explorer and Netscape so I try to check each page with those - then hope for the best with other browsers.

Your homepage is absolutely stunning. I often visit the pages of people who write in to the Freepages Helplist, just to see the variety and creativity. Some of them are - hmmmmm, unusual. Your page is one of the most attractive ones I've seen.

Wow, I guess you decided to start from scratch. A very good idea. You did eliminate an important thing though, the title of your page. What you are probably going to do is add one thing at a time and see how it goes. Title first though and then maybe the background to see if it works without any of the buttons, etc. I'll bookmark this to see how you're doing.
