Gary Ray Walkup was born from Walter Ray Walkup and Wilma Lucille Walkup (Carter) who were from Windsor, Missouri and were both and both Walter and Wilma are currently dead and burried there in Windsor Missouri. Wilma died in 1996, and Walter in 2004. Gary Ray Walkup is around 63 years old.

Interesting data in your web site. I wonder if we're all related. It seems the Walkups were pretty prolific.
My grandfather, William Angus, married Minnie Lawhorn in OK territory in the early 1900's. They had two children: Faye, my aunt, and Carl Walkup, my father. She died in the early 1900's. I think it was during the flu epidemic. My grandfather remarried and had more children: Marg & Margie (twins), William Jr., Connie, and two other sons that died early. My father and aunt are gone as well. He's buried at Ft. Rosecrans in San Diego, CA and my aunt is CA and my aunt is buried in Page, OK. I live in Chula Vista, California with my daughter, Melissa M. Walkup, and granddaughter, Ashley D. Walkup. I changed back to my maiden name after my divorce and my daughter chose to change her name legally to my maiden name of Walkup. We are all very proud to carry the name of Walkup.

i am just checking in with everything, i think the last time i was on here i was either 14 15 or 16, now i am 18 and i still don't know where my dad is, he is still trying to avoid me. well, it's ok, there has been nothing yet to make me be proud to be a walkup. i am ashamed to say, but i find that to be true. my mother was wonderful, she raised three kids and she was homeless, she tried the best she could. we saw Scott (dad) i would say only 5 or 6 times throughout our entire time growing up, and now that we are all grown, i hope he knows how happy we are and that we DON'T need his help now. and if he wants to call and apologize, here's my number: 479-466-3846

Mr. Orie Stephen Walkup is my great grandfather. He is the son of Andrew Walkup, a Spanish American from Akron, Ohio. He is a retired Captain of the Coast Guard. He stayed in the Philippines for many years before the 2nd World War, and married Filipina named Isabel. They have an only child named Encarnacion Walkup who is my grandmother.They lived in Cagayan De Oro City during that time. I am Renae Walkup Williams, daughter of James Leonard Walkup, Tulare, California, originally from Oklahoma. His father was Volentine Walkup who died when my Dad was 5 years old. My Dad's sister is Ova Mae Ping, who lives in Indiana. His mother's name was Mary Tillery Walkup Carter,married Edward Carter after Volentine passed away. I know very little about the Walkup family. My Father was from a broken home. His brother, Joseph Clyde (JC) Walkup were split up at ages 5 and 6 respectively. Their parent's went different ways from then on. David raised by his grandparents on a farm taken over by a Homer and Lucille Walkup and that farm is in Readyville Co. Tn.

Harold David Walkup was the oldest of 12 children from Coalgate, OK area. Harold's father died when Harold was 11 or 12. His name was Roy Walkup. He was one of two brothers who came to Oklahoma from Arkansaw. They were from Kentucky, as the story goes. Harold Walkup had four children: Haroldy, Debbie Malinda, David and Dante Walkup. Most of my life I've been looking for family history. My Grandmother's maiden name was Walkup and she lived in Heavner on a farm (if I remember correctly, I visited as a child.) I don't know her first name, I only called her Ma Ma. I know that they had horses, and a particularly high strung black male horse. There were blackberries growing all around and we used to make jam from them. I believe one of our relatives name was Gene and he had two children, Billy and Donna.
