I've been researching my family for some time now, and I keep wondering if there is a link between the Herborth's in Ontario, Canada and the Herbort's in Texas; my family went by the "Herbort" name as well. The emigration from Hanover seems to be around the same time frame. Do you have any data (census originals, etc.) that may have the Herborth spelling?
Just checking a hunch...
Thanks, Jason Herborth.

As a note, you have Gladys marrying Fred Diel. They spelled it Deal; they had no children. Also, my aunt went by Mattie, not Maddy. She married Marcus Semmelman and had four boys, Marcus Walter, Frank, George and Stanley. Sometime a fter Erasmus died, my grandmother married my grandfather Albert Pape and had my father.

I have info on Elizabeth Weber (lst generation) in that she came to America as a widow. She was born in 1803 in Prussia. I would like to find out her date of death and where she is buried. The 1850 census shows her last name as Weaver, I suppose the American spelling.
Do you know where I might find out anyone who may have researched info on her? Or, could you lead me in the right direction?
Thanks for your help.

I have a lot of questions as to exactly where Jeremiah Curtis, Sr. and Ruth Stratton Curtis died. In 1921, Mrs. George Hay of Bandera, Texas wrote to my grandmother saying, "Ruth Straton Curtis died in Bandera Co., 1856. Jerrymiah (Jr.] we heard died in Oklahoma 1861." Other family records show Jeremiah Curtis (Sr.) died 27 Sep. 1845 in Indian Territory (Louisiana or Oklahoma), along with her son. Tradition says they died of salt poisoning. They may have worked in the Salt Mines. Likewise, Ruth Stratton died 14 December 1859 in Bandera County, Texas or in Indian Territory Oklahoma. Were deaths in Bandera County recorded as early as mentioned above? I have found some excellent information in the 1850 census of Zodiac Community, Gillespie County and in the history of Lyman Wight. Many thanks to all of you! Lois Goodmansen

Hello.
First off, Great job on collecting all of this information!!
I did want to give you some additional info for the genealogy project...
I am the great grand-daughter of Gustave (#35) & Freida (Voigt) Novian. I am related to them through my mother's side. My maternal grandmother, Elsie Hedwig (Novian) Kosub 7-25-22 was their first child and then came the fraternal twin sisters, Helen and Lonie.
My grandmother, Elsie, married Ervin Joe Kosub (born 1-3-09) sometime in 1947 in San Antonio, TX. My mom, Linda Mae, their first child was born 3-13-48 and then came second daughter, Sharon Ann Kosub on 7-1-49. Grandma Elsie is still alive and kickin', but her daughter Sharon died from an epileptic seizure in April 1987 ... Sharon never married, nor had any children. Grandma's husband, Ervin died Feb. 6, 1997, a couple of months before his and Grandma Elsie's 50th wedding anniversary... she was so broken-hearted.. all she could talk about was how Grandpa had left her so soon... that he was supposed to stick around for this special occasion... both Ervin and Sharon are buried in the St. Hedwig Catholic Church Cemetary, St. Hedwig, TX.
As far as I know, her twin sisters have both passed on, but I don't know exactly when... Helen sometime in either the late 1980's or early 90's... and then the other sister, (I knew her as Lonie, but she is called Emma in the chart) sometime in the late 90's.
As for my mom, Linda Mae Kosub... she married my dad, Teofil Joe Gerlich (born 10-19-15) on 4-4-70 in St. Hedwig, TX...yes, there is a 33-year age difference between them... they reside in Adkins, TX (east of San Antonio). She and my dad had 8 children, all born in San Antonio, TX.
1. Eleanor Ann Gerlich, born 5-13-72, died 12-10-75, buried in St. Hedwig Catholic Church Cemetary, St. Hedwig,TX.
2. Alvin Ted Gerlich, born 12-18-73, died 9-29-01, buried in St. Hedwig Catholic Church Cemetary, St. Hedwig, TX.
3. Shirley Jane Gerlich, born 2-4-75, married Michael Trey Dossett on 12-26-01 in San Antonio, Tx.. currently residing in Ft. Worth, expecting 1st child 8-10-02.
4. Leonard Kent Gerlich, born 4-21-76, married Stacey Lynn McAllister on 9-2-00 in Fair Oaks Ranch, TX.. currently residing in San Antonio, TX.
5. William Gerlich, born and died 8-19-78, buried St. Hedwig Catholic Church Cemetary, St. Hedwig, TX.
6. Glenn James Gerlich, born 6-15-80, currently residing in San Antonio, TX.
7. Susan Kate Gerlich, born 9-20-83, currently residing in St. Hedwig, TX.
8. Michael Gerlich-Morris, born 10-14-89, currently residing in San Antonio, TX.
I hope this info helps in your genealogy project.
