You have a very interesting and well planned web site. The
best one I have ever seen. I have tried for years to idenefy
the correct parents of Thomas Hill at the top of Dr. Matthew
Hill's family chart. I have had a lot of people think they
know, but do not have any documentation. Do you fit into his chart some where? Andy Hill

Just checked out your site!! Very nice!! I see that your hubby is a Methodist pastor. Our Methodist church will be looking for a new pastor in 2 years (maybe less). We have a very very nice church, nice parsonage, pay the pastor well. We're looking for someone "younger" - you sound ideal. Wanna come? hehehe We'd love to have you! I'm sure that your church is very grateful to have someone like you!!

I signed your guest book last night and wanted you to know I think you have done an outstanding job with your site. I am in the process of learning how to build my own site and hopefully it will one day be of help to others who may be searching for information that I may have. It is to bad that I could not tie my Hill family in with yours. I am tracing two separate Hill lines. I am at a dead end with my direct line, Jeptha P. Hill, born abt 1790/1793. He died May 1832 in Monroe County, georgia. He married Temperance Chapman March 27, 1810. Temperance was born 4 July 1808 in Warren County, Georgia. Temperance's grandfather, John Chapman Sr. married Tabitha Hill about 1735. I take Tabitha Hill's line back to Sir John Hill. He was born 1350 in St. Sidwell, Exeter, devon, England. He married Virginia Derborough about 1379 in Somerset, England. He died 1407 in England.

This site is marvelous. Our family has been trying to extend this line past Henry Truman since 1906. I have an original hand drawn pedigree that I would be happy to copy and send to anyone wanting a copy. It was made by Dr. Matthew Hill in 1906. He agreed to pay to send whoever could trace the line to England over ther to research. Too bad it's too late. That would have been super.

My GGrandmother was Cynthia Hill, b. 1858 in Grant County KY. She died in Indiana 1939 but was returned to Georgetown
Kentucky Cemetery to be buried by her husband, James William
Brumback. Cynthia's father was John W. Hill Sr. born 1831 in Kentucky and died in Illinois May 9, 1909. John W. Hill's father was William Hill, 1810, d. 1867, Kentucky.
There are other Hills in Scott County, Kentucky who attended
the Great Crossing Baptist Church. These names are on the
Census and were also relatives; but, I am not sure of their
exact relationship.

Hi,
I was interested in your site as my uncle (deceased) is William Hill from Massachusetts. He was married to Mona Willey (my mother's sister). His son, James, is trying to research his family but has come to a brickwall. Did any of your descendants move to Massachetts (during depression or before). Bill's father and mother were married during the depression.
Sincerely, Jenine Marston Christensen

Very interesting site, especialy the Brooksville Church information as my ggrandfather, George Rutledge Palmer, and gggrandfather Richard Haney, were Methodist-Episcopal and Methodist (respectively) ministers in the Illinois and Indiana area during the nineteenth century. Great that you designed your site from a church perspective. Glad you stopped by our site. As you probably saw there is a write up on Rev. Palmer. Hopefully once I decipher the handwriting I can add some of his sermons to the site. For those interested please feel free to stop by our site, Genealogy Planet, at http://home.earthlink.net/~genealogyplanet/ We have over 100 photos of our ancestors dating back to 1858 as well as Irish, Scotch-Irish, English, French, Dutch and Palatine ancestory information along with an origins page.
