My father (James Brown Trotter) just told me about some ancestors in Daviess County. He said his great grandfather is Jonathan D. Trotter, which is listed in this Trotter cemetery. I am at the very beginning of this search to see where it leads me. If anyone has additional information for me I would greatly appreciate it.

My grgrgrandmother was Sarah Duffey Trotter she died in 1892. I have looked everywhere else in Daviess County and i couldn't find her. I thought she might have been buried in the Trotter Cemetery.

Sorry to see that this cemetery has been neglected but am glad that some one has taken time to put the pictures on the internet. This is the way I found my uncles grave in Harrison Co,

People please forgive me but I am apparently tired as I read Trotter as Trosper. But never the less I concur with evryone abt the cemetery and I do believe the the Trotter's are also part of my family tree.

I was looking for one of my Houston ancestors. A Houston descendent thought that he was buried here. But thats a shame abt the cemetery as the Trospers were part of my ancestors also.
I only visited via this site.

I am not sure if I have a connection to these Trotter's or not but printed off the information for my records. I wish that I lived closer so I could help take care of the cemetery. I am interested in any information that I can find on the Trotter's. Thank you,

I maybe related to these Trotter's. My first Trotter ancestor that I know of was James Trotter, Sr. of Brunswick County, Virginia. He was born abt 1725 and died August 17, 1783. He and other ancestors are listed in the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Patriot Index book.

I probably won't get to visit the cemetery, but it was so nice to read about it. I will let the others in the family know about it and see if we are related. We have all these names in out family but I will have to check the dates. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
Thank you
Alma My mother was Mary Trotter.

Oh, how I wish I were closer and had the funds to help! How sad that these memorials are not better taken care of.
I don't know if I am related because my first record of Trotters is William W. b. 1844 in Illinois. He had a sister named Alcy (sp) Ann. They both married into the Dobbs family of Wayne Co. Illinois. That's about all I know.
I will hope a pray that something can be done soon!
Good Luck!
