through out my research cantrells have been recorded as cantrill's, and cantrall's have you come across this problem just started with my research but i may have links with a joseph cantrell born 1748 of chesterfield , chesterfield is approx 5-6 miles from Ashover derbyshire

Charles Brooks was born in 1871 th son of Leonard Brooks and Mary Ann (?) They lived in the Cordova Grant County Area. In the 1880 Census he was listed as being nine years old. He was missing in the family listing in the 1890 census.He married Mary Kate Redd in Shelby County Tennessee on December 15th, 1891. He would have been 20 years old. One of my Uncles (Charles Jones Brooks)on his cemetary records he was listed as being born December 31st 1893 in Greenville Muhlenberg County Kentucky. He abandoned his family here in Shelby County Tennessee in the early 1900's and was never heard from again. Any information would be appreciated.

Hi Sharon. I see you've updated your site and information since my last visit in May 2002. Nancy Agnes Cantrall was my great-great grandmother; my great-grandfather is Frank Bachelder, son of Nancy Agnes. You may have spoken to my father a few years back as he was visiting Alturas, CA and researching the Cantrall family. His name is Conrad Holzgang. I love the Nancy Agnes family photo. Frank is located at the top far left. He wore his hair the same way until he died! I have a generation photo showing Nancy Agnes, Frank Bachelder, my grandmother Agnes Isabelle Holzgang, and my father as a child. Great photo. I'm looking for a Mr. Philip (sp) Newlin who would be approximately mid-to-late 60's. He served in the US Army and was stationed in Kyoto, Japan during the years l955 to 1957 (not entirely sure of his exact time in Kyoto). He was very involved with the post softball team and traveled as I did to various parts of Japan, Korea, and Okinawa as a member of the 8610 ASA Post Championship team of '56 and .57. If you know anything of his whereabouts, I would appreciate knowing of them. He was a resident of Bakersfield, CA before entering the Army during the 50's.
