I believe my son-in-law Larry Lane Hume is a descendant of James Hume born 1871. and further believe that said James is found in your outline as son of James H. Hume (1845) and Unknown.

Hi, I am the granddaughter of Edwin W. & Huldah HUME. I am currently doing their family history to present. Although I did just find an 1891 census with his parents David and Daisy along with Edwin and his sister Ivy W Hume. I wanted to let you know that Edwin and Huldah had 11 children, although the first one died at birth in 1904. Edwin and Huldah were married in 1903 in Calgary. Not 1803. I would like to know where you James R. Hume fit into the family tree? I am very new at this, but am finding it very interesting. Thank you and look forward to hearing from you. Norma

Just "surfing" today and came across your HUME web page on Legacy. Beautiful work--well done.

Do you have any more info on Lewis P. Mead and his wife Mary Anne Hagaman?

Re: Jane Hume born 11.06.1827 Gunning, NSW. Australia, who married Thomas T. Ferrier 1842 St. Andrews Scots Church, Sydney.
She was daughter of John Kennedy Hume (1800-1840) and Elizabeth O'Neil (1803-1864).
John Kennedy Hume was brother of Hamilton Hume (1797-1873) a famous explorer in early Australia.
As to what happened to Jane & Thomas I don't know, they are no on the NSW BDMs

Hi! Nice website...

I wanted to correct something. You have Domitille St. Vrain as being married to Nancy Carrico, daughter of Dennis Sylvester Carrico and Jane Clark. This is incorrect.

The Nancy Ann Carrico that was Domitille's spouse was the daughter of Walter Carrico and Helena O'Bryan Carrico of Indian Creek, Monroe County, Mo. Walter's will, on file in Monroe County, names Nancy Ann St. Vrain as his daughter. Thought you'd like to know.
Thanks, Susan

RE: Philip Robert Hume (1818)
Wife(1)Rebecca Terrell had 3 children 1 being Mary B-1839. Mary first married Thomas Miner in 1860 he died at Vicksburg, Mary then married Vincent Goins.
Wife (3) Pauline Bastine, you list again Mary B-1839 as their child--not possible--you have her listed as married to Thomas Miner. If Philip & Pauline had a daughter Mary and my following of the records is correct she married unknown and had 3 children.
Please check this out as I'm very confused at this point.

My father was David Michael Hume, born in Trenton NJ 10-1926. He moved to Pittsburgh, PA at the age of two and died in Pittsburgh PA. around 1978. His mother's name was Marie C. Flinn Irvin Hume. He has three half sisters from his mothers first marriage. I was told his father was from Ohio. I have had no contact with my father's family since my parents divorced in 1965. I want to find out more about my fathers family.

I'm interested in James Hume born 1782 at Athelstaneford East Lothian Scotland who appears in your Names List. He is a son of my GGG Grandfather Robert Hume 1757-1828.

The source for your information on James Hume and his descendants is 1699 "File of John Alexander Hume" etc. and I would very much like to find out more. Can you put me in touch with the holder of this source material?

I am very vry new to family history but was told in the past by Aunties that the name Landells is part of the Home(or Hume Clan) and that the family originally derived to Berwickshire is this correct. I found a link on line for Landells to Home Clan but could not get any further and I somewhat confused.. since I do not know how it all works and how the connections are made. Many thanks for your time in reading this Anne Landells

Hello,
I'm searching for the parents of Sarah Ann Young b. 1793, daughter of Christian Young. I have found two possibilities for the mother, Nancy Ann Hume or Elizabeth Hume as you have on your website. I'm just curious as to where you found the information on Christian's wife.
Any information would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Kathryn

I sent you info on the Henry Ross Hume family a while back and see that you've included it. My son is Henry Ross IV. His father, Henry Ross Hume III died and I thought you might like to add his info. He was born 21 April 1958 in MI and died on 18 October 2008 in Boyne City, Charlevoix County, MI.

You have done a wonderful job with this site.

Thanks for all you've done, Kim Morgan

Since July 2nd 1967, the Hume name is added to the history already present in New Zealand. One 'Samuel Thomas' arrived and now (2009)has two male offspring who may yet further the name.We have met with one of the same lineage living at Mount Maunganui. Others at KatiKati come from a different line.

I recently started researaching Mary Macie Hume. She was married to Ladd L. Lassiter brother to my ggGrandmother
Minnie Lassiter Hicks. Minnie ran off abt 1920 and left her husband and children. Her father was living with Ladd and his family in 1920 in Mound Valley Caddo OK, I have hopes she went home to her father.
Looks like I will be doing a lot of research on the Hume line.

Hi,
We have a common relative (Nancy Carrico, spouse of Domitille St. Vrain) but I noticed you have her listed with the wrong parents. Her parents were actually Walter Carrico and Helen Bryan (O'Bryan) Carrico, last residing in Monroe County, MO. Walter has this daughter listed in his will as Nancy Ann St. Vrain (Monroe County Will Book A, pg. 181, Box O, will dated 4 Dec 1840). Thought you'd like to know. Best wishes, Susan

Carrico-Luckett-Key Bible - I copied what I could interpret from this piece of Bible which has been through a couple of floods: John Boone Luckett was born 1789 - June the 25. Prudence Luckett born 1793 September (27?). Ignatius (another notation has a Thomas Ignatius Luckett, probably same person) born in July 20 - 1797. Samuel Luckett (same person as Joseph Samuel who wrote his name at least 12 times on page edges of Bible?) born February (20 or 21)1799. Etc.

Mr. Hume... I am decended from Penelope Hume and Ezekiel Jones of Sullivan County, Indiana; Penelope the daughter of Lewis Hume, who was the son of the Rev George Hume and Elizabeth Proctor(?); the grandson of John Hume, the g grandson of George Hume the Immigrant and Elizabeth Proctor(?)...

and that's precisely my problem... I can't fathom, though I have a very active imagination, that Elizabeth Proctor was both the mother and great grandmother of my Lewis Hume. Can you clarify...? Who was the Reve Geo Hume spouse, and who was the spouse of George the immigrant?

Thank you very much for your help.
