Hello there
I'm trying to find out info on a good friend I had in High school. Her name was Kathy Farley and she attended a high school in New Jersey for one year in 1979 I believe. We were good friends and I've always regreted not keeping in touch with her. The name of the high school was Cumberland Regional and she lived in Bridgeton New Jersey. Any help you could give would be appreciated greatly.
Thanks

Re: Reinhart KLOPSTAD. I am researching the KLOPSTAD family who immigrated from Norway to the United States in 1887. I saw a posting dated 11-7-2004 in this guestbook from Paul Robbins looking for information on Reinhart KLOPSTAD. I responded to his query; however, his e-mail has obviously been changed as the e-mail bounced back to me. If anyone knows how to contact Paul Robbins (or anyone else researching Reinhart KLOPSTAD), will you please contact me? Thanks.

Looking for my mother who's name was Shirley Farley who was married to Ron Noble around 1965 when I was born. My mother and father divorced when I was two or three years old and my father gained custody-never saw mother after that. I never resented her at all, just always wondered if I would ever meet her. I know she was originally from Canada but eventually ended up in Western New York.

I came across a family tree of sorts that my grandma had. It lists Charles Farley born june 15 1824 in Ireland died Feb 14 1910 who married Elizabeth Boyle November 7, 1850 in Ontario (her parents were from Ireland) they had 13 children born 1852-1879. I have their names and spouses names.

My grandma's grandfather was married to one of the daughters(Elizabeth (Lizzie) Farley). His name was George Kidd and they married in Ontario Canada 1879, moved to Manitoba around 1891 and had 8 children, one of the son's named John Wesley Kidd(born 1887) was my Grandma's (Rita Elizabeth Kidd) dad. His wife was Mabel Kidd.

First, I would like to thank everyone for their comments in my guest book and their interest in my web site. It is much appreciated!

I would like to respond to some comments left in the guest book by Bonnie Farley Gary and by others who have contacted me by email. The earliest Farleys from my family moved from Ireland to the US in 1851. They first settled in Illinois and eventually settled in Union County, South Dakota during the 1870's. None of them really left that area in any significant numbers until probably the 1920's or so.

More than once, I've been asked whether any of the Farleys from my family have ever settled in places such as Alabama or other parts of the South (or whether I might have any knowledge of the Farleys who once lived in the South during the 1800's). At this time, I really don't. While it is true that we do share a common surname, I have not yet found the documentation to prove a connection between those Farleys and mine. Since my family lived in Ireland before that time, documentation from the early 1800's is often scarce; so, any connections between my Farleys (Farrelly in Ireland) and others might be rather difficult to prove. If I do find anything, I'll let everyone know. And, if anyone else finds any documentation that is relevant to my research, please let me know. Once again, thanks for the interest in my web site!

Thank you for letting me look at the Heisler names on your database. We have very little info to go on as my grandfather Earl Heisler, his brother, Frederick Heisler lived in Beresford, SD. We have no information on Frederick, other than the Heisler family came from Mapleton, IA.

Again, thank you for your help.

HI,
Don't know if we are connected but I know my grandfather Okey Farley lived in the Camp Creek area as a child. He was born 1907. HIs father was George Oliver Farley called Olie. He had a sister Minnie Ellen Farley that married a Crawford in cabell county, WV.
George died 1922 in Cabell county and is buried in Fairview Cemetery. He was married first to Callie Mounts then Anna Knight. I don't know who his father was but his mother may have been Lorraine Ellis. Oh, he was supposedly born somewhere in OHIO.

Hi, I was surfing the net for genealogical information and came acrossed your information on Beresford, SD relations. As I JUST happened to find my own family connection in Beresford, and thinking that in the late 1800s, early 1900s it was not all that populated, I wondered if in your own research you may have stumbled across:

Robert Earl Pierce, born Beresford August 18, 1891, the son of James S. Pierce and Margaret Morris.

We are pretty certain that this Margaret Morris is OUR Margaret Morris, the daughter of James Morris and Julia McCabe, born in Newark, New Jersey in 1864.

I'd love to hear back from you if you might have chance to know anything about these folks. I just thought it was funny that I should happen acrossed your Beresford info the day after I established a Beresford family connection.

Many thanks,
Paula

I see a little bit of overlap between your information and mine. In particular, I have a complete listing of Michael Birgen and Elizabeth Decker's children. Matthew was actually born in Wisconsin, along with the rest of his siblings. Michael Birgen was buried in North Washington, Chickasaw County, Iowa. I have a copy of his obituary. Also, I managed to locate the marriage record of Patrick Merrigan and Elizabeth Doyle. I was looking for more info on the Merrigan line when I found your info on World Connect at Rootsweb. I hope we can exchange sources.
