My Great Grandfather Walter Joseph AhQuee raised his family in Kilcoy and my Grandfather Ernest Stonier married Margaret Myrtle AhQuee and raised their family in both Kilcoy and Yednia.
Walter had a fruit shop business and Ernest worked in his brother Alfred's Blacksmith business before working at Yednia in the sawmill.
Any information, photos, etc., regarding members of the AhQuee and Stonier families would be greatly appreciated.

My great grandparents were Sarah Seib (daughter of Robert Seib and Sarah Poole) and David Jenkins from Greenock, Scotland. They meet and married in Kilcoy in 1912. I am told that David ran the local Bakery at the time.

I would love to obtain any information on Yielo station around 1870. My grandmother Josephine Ann Liddy (Reg. as Anne) was born there in 1871 as were some of her siblings. Her parents were James Liddy and Margaret Clancy who had come out from Co.Clare Ireland with two infant children.
James was a stockman.
I would love a photo of the old homestead or any history of the property.

Dad purchased the Pioneers of Kilcoy Vol 1 book and I have been hooked every since. I have checked nearly all entries through Qld B,D,M indexes and have compiled it all on a program. Have been talking to Greg Hutson and Noela Lowien and Larry Jenkinson and they have sent me further information which I am adding to it and checking. I will do a CD with the Legacy program I use for your society to have and will drop it off when I am in Kilcoy in Jan 2006.

My Gt Grandfather was assigned selections of land at Stanley River, Hazeldean. His name was Michael Doolan and his wife was Susan. They immigrated to Queensland in 1863 from Co. Clare, Ireland and were apart of the Queensland Immigrant Society.
Would your society have any details of this couple and if so, could you please advise what documents / research your society would have?

My great grandmother, Mary Ann O'SULLIVAN (nee WALSH) was the first teacher at the Provisional School in Kilcoy (Hopetoun). Her husband, Michael, was a drover and they had 6 children. My mum and I, and the other descendants of Michael and Mary Ann O'Sullivan are very glad to see that the history of Kilcoy is being made available for others to enjoy.
