Hello, I'm searching for information for Elijah WILSON. Married Serena JONES abt 1835 in Henry County. Elijah WILSON (parents unknown) – born in Kentucky circa 1812 and died between 1870-1880 (possibly in Missouri). Elijah married Serena JONES (1821-1886) about 1838 in Kentucky. They had eight (8) children: Gaylar, Barbara, Nancy Jane, Martha Ellen, James P., Zachariah T., Scott Winfield, and Lenora. I’ve located the family in the 1850 U.S. Federal Census for district 1, Henry county, KY; again in the 1860 and 1870 US Federal Census living in Parker, Clark county, Illinois, and finally on the 1880 USFC living in Lamar, Barton county, Missouri. I found the 23 September 1853 Kentucky birth record for son Scott Winfield WILSON that has Elijah and Serena WILSON living near Sligo, Kentucky.
I’m searching for any information related to Elijah – place of birth, parents, siblings, family history, etc. – that would allow me to continue the research.
Thanks!
Doug

I am interested in tracing back my Father's family, and I got as far as Kentucky, 1800, but I cannot get farther. The problem is the name. I believe the spelling of the name changed from Dennen to Denning. I found marriage records for Anthony Dennen(Dinning, Dening) and Sussanna Hoke (Hake). I am looking for children, hopefully by the name of Joseph born around 1800. Joseph from Kentucky, according to the 1850 cencus is living in Clay County IL, and is around 50. I would appreciate any help. I'm living in Austin, TX, and its hard to track down information from Kentucky.
Do you have old birth records?

Great site! I am searching for:
COBB - my John Cobb said he was born 1814 in Henry County, however, he didn't tell us the names of his parents, his 2 sisters and 1 brother. His family moved a lot, probably to Indiana, Iowa, Illinois and elsewhere. John Cobb moved to California in 1850 from Quincy, Illinois.
Also, Thomas Y. Hinton, son of Casper and Hannah (Sisk) Hinton/Henton probably lived here in 1830s before he moved to Saline County, Missouri. I descend from his son, George W. Hinton who came to California in 1860 and married Mary Cobb in 1868, she was the daughter of John Cobb. Small world - move to California to find your 'neighbor'!
I would appreciate hearing from any of you who have information as I live in California (Cobb since 1850s and Hinton since 1860) and I appreciate all online databases as that is my source of information. Thank you so much.

Dec.4,1799 and moved to Henry Co. shortly after he was born.
His father John Lewis and his mother Mary Ketcham Lewis are buried somewhere in Henry Co. Daniel married Nancy Logan the daughter of James Logan, in Henry Co. May 18,1819 and the had one daughter born there. Nancy died in 1826 and she and she is buried there. I am not sure where they are buried and this is information that I could use if there are any records. After Nancy's death Daniel moved to Indiana, Illinois, and settled in Iowa were he is buried. i am researching my family tree and it is important that sites like this are available to those of us who have limited funds to pay for copies. i have had alot of success with other kentucky counties, for example trimble county. some of my relatives resided there around the turn of the century. (1900) now i am looking for census records, marriage records and obituary records in henry county. callis is the surname that i am researching and mccormack. i've had luck with the cemetary records for trimble county, finding the callis'. so thank you again for the help.

Right now I am seeking information on the whereabouts of a Family Bible that was sold from the personal property of William Morgan to a T. We believe that the bible passed on to Sarah Jane (Sallie)Morgan Robertson, the only surviving child of Thomas and Lucinda Bryan Morgan. Any help on this item would be appreciated.
