Name: Nathan Webb <Duqwebb@Juno.com> Date: 2009-11-05 How I found this site Ky Gen Web The surnames I am researching Webb, Leach, Powell, Smith, Jones What I would like to see on this site Anything pointing to proof of ancestry! Comments:
Been searching since 1998 for Berry and Wiley Webb-run out of Culpepper County, VA for becoming Methodists. Both brothers came with Daniel Boone over the Cumberland Gap circa 1770s to 1790s and settled Webb's Crossroads at US 127 and KY 76. (Ref. J. and Nadine Wommack, Russell Springs, KY) Berry married a young Cherokee Indian lady and Wiley objected to the point where a fight broke out and the two "agreed to disagree". Wiley went to parts unknown and Berry and his Indian wife had Jacob, who is listed in the 1810 Tax Rolls of Adair County. Jacob supposedly married Sarah Jones and had Alfred or Alford or John Alfred Webb in 1815. His birthdate was backdated from the 1860 Census, where there is clear record of him (Alfred). Alfred(Alford)married Martha A. Smith, born approximately 1821, and had James Webb (8Feb1855-18 Feb 1933)who married Sally Leach, who had James Omery Webb (2Jun1898), who married Emma Murrell, who had Bassett Owen Webb, 30 Nov 1918, who married Lois Scott (1950 in Memphis), who had me. Can anyone provide any leads between Culpepper County, VA Webbs to Alfred. Would appreciate it muchly. Thanx, MSgt Nathan Webb,502 USAF Band (Retired) Gulfport, Miss.

But the parentage is being questioned by a Wright researcher and as I have no documentation about the parentage of Moses Wright, Jr. who was born in South Carolina in 1800 I must try to find it Would appreciate any help. Name: Sue C. Martin <Nana76@aol.com> Date: 2001-04-08 How I found this site Just logged on The surnames I am researching Hale and Goodin Comments:
I've been trying to locate my grt. grt. grandparents. Thomas and Rebecca (Goodin) Hale. I know for fact that they lived in ADAIR county for the births of their four daughters in 1841,1849, 1854 and 1857. For some strange reason their son was born in Breckinridge County in 1864. I'm assuming it was because of the Civil War. I believe that my grt. grt. grandmother died somewhere in Adair County May of 1877. If you have suggestion on how I can confirm this, I would be grateful.
Your site has a great deal of information.

I would like to see someone available to do surname lookups.
I know that my grt. grandparents lived in Adair County in the 1840/50's. I'm trying to locate the Kentucky county that they are buried in. I have the date of death for my grt grandmother as May 8, 1877 - but no place. I've searched all data available in Breckinridge, Grayson and Hardin Counties. I understand that Hardin County lost a lot of records because of fires at the Courthouse. I was told to look in records in Adair County. Since I live in New Jersey I do all of my research via the internet.
Sorry to be so long winded.
