Their son, Chester Copeland Shepherd was my husband, Henry L. Shepherd's father.
I believe that John W. Phipps married Lucy Jane Moore daughter of Bryant Moore in probably Ballard County Kentucky.
Thanks for the information posted. Do you have documentation for Amos's and William R's children. I did not know Johns middle initial was W. till recently, and have had a hard time finding him with his father. Do you know a Census date or information that shows him with his father.

My father's sister, Dovie Roper, married Taylor Hester whose parents were Henry Hester and Ruth Ann Sullivan. Dovie and Taylor were married 28 Sep 1902 at the Bride's home in Franklin County, IL. They had three known children. Dovie died between 1910 and 1915 in Elpaso, White County, AR. Taylor then married 2nd Emma Ross in Grant County, AR.
