I am looking for the parents of Jehiel Spencer. He was born in Vermont in 1801 and diec in Bremer County, IA in 1861. At least one other researcher believes he was born in Manchester Vermont to Seth Spencer. There was a Seth Spencer living in Manchester in 1800, but I have found no other informationon him.
Jehiel married Elizabeth Blackburn in 1825. She died in 1834 and he married Susannah Stocking in 1834.
I will greatly appreciate any information anyone can share.

I am searching for any information on a Bernard Spencer born in Illinois. What I was told the was a Methodist preacher who later move to Johnson Co. KY. He married a Ethel Huff borned in River KY. My late husband's family. His father was born 26 Augt. 1892 at 36 Shakespear Street,Jarrow,County of Durham England.(parents were Thomas J.Lindsay and Jane Ann Ryan. Hugh died 1/May 1976 in Dengel Hospital, Bowden,County of Chester England. He was on of a large Roman Catholic family and I am having great difficulty in finding name, births dates etc.I have traced back back six generations but am unable to verify due to a block re information about Hugh's siblings. As a matter of interest my most recent find (which may have no relationship) is a Hugh Lindsay (a R.C.Bishop and Dean of St Bedes in Jarrow who retired a few years ago. Looking for the parents of Charles Spencer who was born 1750 inwhat is now Campbell Co., VA He married Judith David born about 1755 in Wales. This line of Spencer's are supposed to be descended from three Irishbrothers who fought with Cromwell during the English Civil War.When Charles II became King of England, in 1660, they barely escaped being beheaded. They settle in NY, MA, and MD. My Charles is supposed to be descended from the MD brother. Can anyone out there be of help in finding out what his name was and who he married and how many children he had and where in England or Irland he was borned and so on. his parents where killed by indians in 1774 in armstrong co. pa. he was taken prisoner by imdians at age 12 in 1776
forced to run guantlet survied, held prisoner to around 1781 escaped and was taken prisoner by british, declared him a rebel and sent him to canada as a prisoner of war, held until end of war, he returned to armstrong co. married a german women ( luxenburg ) raised his family.
