Having little success in going further back. Hope to connect with anyone with similar interests. THanks.

My grandmother was Anna Gertrude Waltz who was originally from Cambria, Pa and was at one time a schoolteacher. She moved to West Virginia at some point and married Harley Delbert Judy around 1920 They lived in Randolph County, WVa. I have literally no information on the Pa family of Anna Waltz and would welcome any contacts. Thanks!

Enjoyed your web site. I have traced my fathers family to Reidseltz. The family name was Julig. Frantz Julig married Annea Marie Waltz in 1806. He was born in Reidseltz in 1787 and Anna Marie was born 2/6/1794 in Reidseltz and died 5/6/1829. Her father was Casperus. Does any of this fit in your family tree?

I'm also interested in family history, unfortunately your sight was not much help. I live in Bristol, England. I am an infantry soldier in the british army. There is a large community of Braund's living in Cornwall and Devon in the southwest of England. My father done some research a few years back and discovered the following story, how much of it is true i don't know.
During the time of the spanish armada one of the captains was called Braund. His ship ran aground during storms off the coast of England. Rather than kill him or turn him over to the authorities the local folk took pity on him and let him live among them. He married a local girl and the rest is history, now there are a few large communities living in the south of england. The captain of the spanish ship was portugies, it's thought his family name originates in Germany where the German word for brown is braun.
If you have any info on the Braund Tree could you send to my email address.
Thanks
Steve

Nice web site. I have not yet researched my family tree, but look forward to doing it soon. The furthest I've gotten so far was my Granfather Henry Waltz. I am not very close with the Waltz side of my family, so I have a long way to go. By the way, I am from Lancaster Pennsylvania.

I received your invitation to view the "Waltz" sight. It brought back some memories of Gallitzin.
My sister now lives on Quarry Street and I can picture where Andrew's house was, and maybe still is.
As I may have mentioned to you in a letter on the Cambria County sight, my brothers and sisters had Miss Waltz as a teacher in Gallitzin.
Thanks for sharing these memories.

Linda: You have done a nice job with your web site. I will need to get my research onto a web site soon. I am confident that someday the "Veitsteinbach Gärtners" and the "Magdlos/Rommerz Gärtners" will link up to the oldest known ancestor: Phillip Gärtner, born circa 1280 in Weidenau. Keep searching. Gary
