Comments:
Mr. L.V. Davis was murdered, stab wound to the heart, on November 16, 1924. According to his death certificate (#31397), Mr. Van ANDERSON, informant, claimed L.V. DAVIS was abt 35 years old and married (no spouse name listed), born in Henderson Co., TN and his parents were Asa and Rachel DAVIS. LV, a citizen of Salem, was buried in Senath cemetery on Nov. 17, 1924.

Earlier Mr. LV DAVIS married Rachel WAGGONER (many spelling variations) in Dunklin Co. and I believe she was related to the informant, Van ANDERSON.

Mr. LV DAVIS also consented to the marriage of his dau, Alsie (?) to GW PRUETT in Dunklin Co.

Otherwise, I cannot find information on this man other than he shows striking similarites to my own DAVIS family. We are descended of four DAVIS boys, born out of wedlock to Asa HAYS and Rachel Davis DERRYBERRY in Henderson Co., TN. One son, Thomas was said to have died young, having been murdered in Dunklin Co. I have not found a death record (or living record for that matter) for Thomas DAVIS, so you can understand why I am so curious about this LV DAVIS.

Looking for any & all connections to our Amanda Harris born in 1870 Alabama or Missouri, who was raised in the Booth Heels of Missouri. She married John Lee Huntington.
It was told that her father's name could have been Benjiman Harris. She & her sisters & brothers were left orphans.She had a sister name Annie Harris whom lived with her in a family home name of Stewart for many years. Amanda also said she had a brother name Albert Lee Harris who went to St. Louis, Missouri to teach. If you can help please do.

Searching for information on William N. Griffin, b. TN Aug 1844. Dau. Anna Mae b. Oct 1892 in MO and son Luther L. b. Sept 1888, MO. Luther states his mother was Fredona C. Chambers. I find William, wid. on the 1900 Census for Dunklin Co. and find John, with son, William, on the 1860 Census for Dunklin Co. Both Anna Mae and Luther died in Dunklin Co. and I have additional info on Anna, my husband's grandmother, and on Luther.

Edward Kane is married to Margie Dodd. they were marred in 1905 Dunklin county. children are Emma L 13,myrtle v dau 11, William m age 3 and Ora b age 1. 1920 found them in arkansas around kensett , wife is now a Minnie_____ with Ora B age 10 and Neoma age 3. John Snider Sr is no longer in Dunklin Co census in 1880. Most likley deceased. John's wife Julia b N Y about 1805
John and Julia's children, 1850 census :
Hiram, Sally, Franklin (Ben), John, Martha A, Rosannah, Elizabeth, Mily.
their oldest daughter Julia A married John Snider b tn. in Massac Co Il. 18 March 1848.
I think their oldest son was Dr James W Snider. b 1818 Tn/Va. He married 1842 In Pope Co Il Jeraldene Brown. By 1848 , he is in Franklin Co Il and married Elizabeth Umphrey Mutchlar. He is in Jackson co Il 1850 with wife Elizabeth . one year old son Obedias and Rosannah, who is 20 now.
They are a few doors down from John and Julia In Dunklin Co by 1860 also. James goes back to Alexander Co Illinois by 1880. His son Obedias lives there. I need a probate or land record from Dunklin co naming these children. the time is between 1870 and 1880. Hiram is still in Dunklin co census 1880.
