The Bakers I am researching came originally from Newfoundland from a place called Garia Bay. They went to Anticosti on an ill planned venture and then came to Renfrew, ontario and some of them migrated west for the land claims in the early 1900.The Emberly , Francis, Baker, Troke, Anderson, Whiting,Stacey families were all involved and probably a few others that did not intermarry with the Bakers.It is the name of I believe Evelyn Grace Baker that I saw that I am curious about . I am interested in the Harbison/Walters connection in Maury County, Tennessee. My Great Grandfather was a brother to Sarah Caroline (Sis) Walters who married Allen Ervin Harbison in 1874. I am especially interested in the descendants of their oldest child (Alec Neely) who married Emily Hughes. According to a letter written January 4, 1925 from Wm Walters to Alec Neely Harbison, some "Kodaks" were enclosed of a family reunion in the previous fall. The pictures included pictures of "Uncle Rob" (my Great Grandfather and "Uncle Dave" (Rob's brother) and also Joe Walters and family (Joe was a brother to my Grandfather Robert Edward Walters). I was just wondering if these "Kodaks" still existed and who possibly would have them after all these years. I have a picture of Robert Allen (My Great Grandfather) and his wife Laura Belle Skelley Walters but have never seen a photo of his brother Dave. Oscar was Ethel's second husband. Her first husband was a Fred Sager - about whom I know nothing.

The Peter Spicer you have listed in your tree is my 8th great grandfather,[through his son Jabez] Peter was b.1644 in Virginia, near Virginia Cittie [sic]. Peter's father was Edward Spicer b. 1624, also in Virginia; mother: Mary ---, brothers: William and Henry (Henery) Edward Spicer's father was Gregory Spicer who came to Virginia on the Tryall [also called Triall] in 1618 as a servant to the Captain Mathews Plantation. It appears that this branch of the Spicers maintained some connection to Capt. Mathews and his family as Richard Mathews married Elizabeth Spicer who it appears was the daughter of Peter's brother William.
