What surname(s) are you researching? Where did they live? When? John Edward Adcock
How did you come across my website? Internet Search
Comments:
I am extremely curious about the marriage of John E Adcock, my great uncle, to Florence Parkins. Florence Adcock was a witness to the marriage of my grandparents in 1916. I note a daughter, Gladys and reference to a 'Robert'-is this Robert E Adcock, mother Parkins, born Farnham in 1911? In all of our family archives, Florence's maiden name is listed as Black; seeing Parkins was a bit of a shock. My father's cousin (born 1920) thinks that John was a window cleaner who died in a fall but he wasn't sure. John's sister Dora married an Australian and relocated to Canada as a war bride (long story), and he had another sister Elizabeth who married an American soldier and relocated to the US. One of his nieces relocated to Oz, and the descendants of Samuel Forman (who had 14 children with two wives) seem to be repopulating entire areas all by themselves!

Hello,
I have recently started looking for my family who all came from the Toxteth Park and Wavertree area of Liverpool. I received a copy of my grandmother's birth certificate which gave the address 49 Moville Street. So I typed in Moville Street and saw your site and just wanted to say hello, our families may have been friends.

I have only been using the computer for a few months so am still learning, and am even newer to researching, and not doing too well.

Thank you so much Lauren for sharing such detailed and well presented research.
John TART (married to widow Margaret FEARNICOMBE nee McDERMOT) was my husband's 3rd gt grandfather, although his line descended from John TART's first marriage to Hannah (?) via their son James TART who married Mary Ann DAVIS 7 Oct 1850 (Dudley 1850 Q4 Vol 18 Page 476).
Your research has given me new information regarding to John TART's father - thank you!
But who is the Samuel Fearnicombe lodging with the Richard and Anne LISLE in the 1851 census in Dudley Rd, Wolverhampton STS (aged 46, born Portsmouth, Tin Plate Worker). I can't quite place him and now I am curious!
Please feel free to contact me for any further TART information. I may be able to help if you are continuing to following that line further.
Many thanks again.

Comments:
I grew up in Cooksville and always remember a dear sweet woman (Mrs.Turpel) who ran a sort or greengrocery on the #5 highway (Dundas Street - east of the 4 corners). I think both her and her husband ran it until he took sick. Then she ran it alone. She was always very kind to children especially at Halloween. I remember hearing that she had had a stroke and the store shut down. I believe they lived beside the store.

Good morning

I have recently acquired my family tree back to the year (1864) when my Great-Great Grandparents, Charles and Augusta Homuth came from near Franfurt (Brittenstein or Breitenstein) in Germany.

In your tree you mention that John Homuth was born
March 22, 1882 at Germany. I suspect there is some connection way back between our families and I would be interested to know where in Germany John Homuth came from.

I hope to make a trip to Germany some day and dig a bit deeper.

My maiden mame is Homuth.

Thank you

Interesting site.

Another Eager connection. I have some extensive research on the Eager line. Please contact me if you are interested in the info - I also have an e-mail address for a direct descendant of your Patchett line.

Adelaide Eager was one of 12 children born to Joseph Benjamin Eager (1842+/-to 1895) and Mary Jane McArdle (1843 +/- to 1920 +/-). My great grandmother was Adelaide's sister Martha (Dolly) Eager who married Charles William Kent in 1891.

Saw your Adelaide Eager in the Ancestry tree file and was interested because her father was my gr-grandmother's brother. Have printout from Blessington Church where the above Joseph Eager Married Martha Begely in 1759. A "cousin" who lives in California was in Ireland and made a list of BMD's.

Good site really enjoyed it.

What a wonderful site, you have done so much work well done.

I have been given alot of help and have made contact with several "Vearncombes" that are as intersted in me about the origins of my family. I have two main sets of info and am trying to link them. My oldest provrn ancestors are Henry Hugh and Judith Verncombe and I have a tree beginning with John Verncombe 1529 that goes to 1679, but can make no connection.

Would love to hear if you have any info that may connect these.

Comments:
Found your information through Ancestry.com wherein you reference Joseph B. Eager, Jr. Joseph of 1737(which date I extrapolated from the record of his marriage to Martha Begley in 20 June 1759)is the earliest Eager I have found so far.
This Joseph (of which there seem to be many in the Eager Family) was from Ballymore Eustice and Martha was from Blessington, County Wicklow, Ireland. Perhaps we are rather distant coustins?

Connie (Pfeiffer)(Tieleman)Smith is my sister. She told me of your website. I hate to be pre-mature with this, but I have an original studio portrait,4x6 inches, unfortunately damaged by being folded across the centre, BUT restorable, which I will do. It is of Henry Fearncombe, Lucy Harley and John Henry Fearncombe, aged about 10/12 years. Photo taken by Geo. Whitfield, Dudley Rd., Wolverhampton. When I have the photo refinished I would be pleased to send a copy to you.
