Hi!

If I'm connecting the dots correctly, I think I'm related to your Marie Espensdatter. My GGGGrandfather appears to have been Espen Johanness Grodt. If this is still a working page, please contact me by e-mail. Thanks! Joan Hale

I am part of another Holmwall Family from Jamton Sweden. My Father Sven Evert Holmvall (1905-1995) was the only one in his family to come to the US (Chicago area). He changed his name to Everett Holmwall as he became a US citizen. I have a geneolgy map that goes back to the 1300s, but it is in Swedish. I still have 12 cousins in Sweden who I communicate with.....GLENN

Thanks you so much for your wonderful website. I've just started compliling information for my family tree and was able to use alot of your information. I am a descendant of Christian Henry Grest and Anna Marie Hoffman (Alfred Grest was my Grandfather, Karen Grest is my mother.) I was trying to figure out how you fit into all of this information. Please tell me if I'm correct so I can add it to my family tree software. Are your parents Iver Thompson and Laura Hoffman? If so, could I get some additional information about you and your husband? What is your birthdate? What is your huband's birthdate? Any children? Hope to hear from you sometime. Thanks again for all of the great information!!

Sincerely,
Becky (Dalager) Clauson

Hi,

Isak Elix Holmvall in the seventh generation are my grand father. I came across this home page when I searched on Holmvall in a search enging. I think this home page is interesting and its fun to hear the story about other "Holmvalls". I live 2 hours with car outside Stockholm and have two children. Both children live in south of Sweden. I hope this home page stay online for a long time and keep on expanding with information about people from this family tree.

Best regards,
Margareta Holmvall

Anna Maria Rimmelspacher was baptized at Saint Katherine's on December 5, 1814. She married Francis Xavier Schneider of the same village, who was born in 1813. They immigrated to Ballvill Township, Sandusky County, Ohio around 1847-48 or 49. Anyone related to these two may contact me! I like your photos of the Busenbach area. The Schneider genealogy was given to us in the 1980s, but it only went to these two. If you have an online site that would be helpful to me, please email me.

I have tried to sign up on your automated site but it wouldn't let me. All I want to say is that I think you have a nice website and I think I amy have a relative (sister) of your Christian Steepe in Busenbach. I realize they are both near the beginning of Church records. I think I have the year of birth. I know I have the date of death and who she married in my line. If you are ionterested you can contact me at this address. My main interest in Busenbach is the Mai/May family.

She gave birth to me 6-13-1952 in Newhall, CA. then I was given to my adoptive parents, George and Elaine Haydock in Indio, CA. She was still living in Newhall in 1970-71 when I met her. I have lost contact with her since then. Could you give me any information or confirmation that I am on the right track? Thank you very much! Respectfully.... Trudi.

Wonderful site. I am researching my Osgood family roots. My grandfather was Charles Faye Osgood, born Aug. 8, 1884 he was married to Laura Depue born Oct. 22, 1883 and died Aug 7, 1969. They had one son, Charles D. Osgood, Born Sept 18, 1913 and died April 12, 1994. Charles D. Osgood was my father. When he died I knew very little about his life before I was born. I am just getting started, what a wonderful past time.

My name is Uwe Müller and I came from Busenbach/Baden/Germany. I found on these Website the grave of my grandparents (Bartholomäus + Walburga Steppe) and my uncle (Wilhelm called Willy Zaich), who was the son-in-law of the "Steppe". My mother is a born Steppe and she has still a living sister (Maria Zaich, born Steppe) and a brother Herman Steppe, my mothers name is Ida Müller, born Steppe. So my question: Is there a relationship between you and this family Steppe? I don't know enough about my ancestors but I could remember that my mother told me before WWII they got sometimes a "lunch parcel" from America. It would be great if you could answer.
Thank you.
Uwe

I am the ggg granddaughter of Henry Hoffman from Cedar County Missouri. He was born in 1834 and married Rosanna A. ?, born 1834 also. Do you have any information regarding any ancestors of this era? Henry stated that he was born in Switzerland and so were his parents. I have not been able to find any relatives of Henry todate.
I loved your web page, especially the photos.

Love your website. I apreciate the amount of work this took. I am writing a history of the Bergthold family from Switzerland to Minnesota and California with pictures of many of the places they lived. I have been to the villages in Galicia (Falkenstein, Einsiedel, and Rosenberg) and have good videos of them as well as the sites in Canton Berne and the Palatinate. If you are interested I could send you a copy. Let's exchange more data and clues.

I enjoyed looking at your family tree, it is well written and the photos are great.
I also have Hoffman/Huffman in my family line and thought we might connect somehow, but most of my relatives are from the PA, MD, and VA.
