Name: James L. Smith II <kornfedcityhick1@yahoo.com> Date: 2009-09-26 How did you find this site? thought i'd do a little family history research. Comments:
my grandparents were Robert(Bob)Marion and Grace Marie (Binney) Smith of Springfield, IL. My parents are James Lester and Marcha Lynn Smith of Chatham, IL. I'm currently trying to positively identify Barbara (Jackson) Smiths' gravesite. I went today and found the poor farm and as well discovered the overgrown cemetery where she is supposed to be buried. I haven't read the info you have here yet and i'm heading there now. Feel free to email me or call if you like. 217-494-9666. Jamie

Name: Lowell Patterson <lowpat@charter.net> Date: 2008-02-17 How did you find this site? Genealogy Search Comments:
Many researchers of the Patterson name unwittingly accept the "research" results of others, without proper documentation. This is causing confusion. We have the same people being buried in other states. etc. We need to be careful of this and document with first hand proof such as Family Bibles, government records, war records, social security tracks, etc. Undocumented word of mouth results should not be acceptable. Name: Bob Mezo, husband of Debra Rothe <derozo@charter.net> Date: 2007-07-12 How did you find this site? googled Herman Rothe Comments:
My wife is the daughter of Charles Rothe, one of the 12 children of Otto Rothe. I was casting about the internet looking for information on Herman and his ancestry in Hohenleuben Germany. You have a very nice site. The photos are great! Your description of Herman's immigration came directly from the Rothe family cookbook! Cool! Wish you the best.

Well, young lady you did a good job! When I learn how to pull up your information I'll check it out. Thanks for putting all my information in the computer. I think it'll especially help the Theilken Genealogists as the church at Westerstede won't allow their records to be copied. Great job!
