Comments:
Recently we have come across some new surnames in our genealogy. One was a Cornelius Donohue or O'Donoghue who is listed in 1900 census of Syracuse NY age 72 born Ire. and living in household of his son in law Parker Brown and Ellen Brown. Cornelius listed as "father."
Cornelius might have had a grandson Florence who became a doctor, but I haven't proven that yet or how they are connected to the Flynns.
Just a stab in the dark.

My ancesters are from Cork Kerry & Belfast. My grt grandfather Daniel Foley came from Kerry to Wales, his fathers name was Jeremiah, I`d love to find the exact area in Kerry where they were from, i want to visit one day. My grt grandmother, Ellen Casey came from Cork to Wales also. They married in 1873 at St Peter`s roman catholic church, Roath Cardiff. Since finding this site I am hooked, The Irish had a tough time starting out in Wales, I am told. I think because of this it was kept hush hush through the generations of their families. My father died October 2008, he never knew where his grandparents came from, this I find very strange. I am on a quest to gather as much info as possible. Any help would be much appreciated. May I say what a great site, with so much dedication, many regards. Angela Hackman.

My great grandmother,s father - Cornelius O'Leary was a brother of John O'Leary who was married to Joan O'Keeffe of Cnockduff (the daughter of the original Jerimiah O'Keeffe and Mary Sheehan). I am in contact with the family of the John and Joan.

Also my great-great grandfather - Mike O'Keeffe of Lisanbui, Cullen married a Mary O'Keeffe(born 1823) who was the daughter of a Dan O'Keeffe, Knockduff. Dan was born in 1797 and married in 1821. I am wondering if he was related with the original Jermimiah O'Keeffe of Knockduff who was born in 1780???

I just loved visiting this site, Susan. I can't believe all the time and energy you have put into it!! Thank you. I feel much more connected to my ancestors and family history. It was so much fun to explore our roots with my daughter MollyKay on your site. Edwina is upstairs doing a little artwork...when she finishes, I'm going to get her online to see it, too!! All my love and we'll visit again soon, Your Cousin, Maryann Lucas
