Hi. I'm sure we're not related at all, but in case anyone reading this can help - I'm descended from Mary Moses, of Cawood, Yorkshire, England. She married William Thompson in 1820 (they're my great-great-great g-parents), and according to parish records, her father was one Isaac Moses, a farmer in York. The Moses family in Yorkshire appear in the Church of England parish records, by the 1770s or so - so they appear to be xians. Anyone else related to the Yorkshire Moses family?

As a child, more specifically from 1959-63, I lived in Appomattox, Virginia, next door to the family of Charles Thomas Moses, Jr., footsteps from Senator Charles Thomas Moses, and across the street from "Aunt Nettie."
I doubt that I can be of much help to you and your studies, as it is only the younger generations with whom I was once familiar. But I am quite curious as to how you fit in!

I haven't had much time to spend in searching family history. But as I understand from stories by my grand parents and father I have a ancestory of europian jew and german. As i was told my great grand father Johan Moses left germany in the late 1800's and went to france from there he came to north america. His off spring were My grand father Daniel Webster Moses 1900 to 1968, John Moses 1896 to 1974 Berty May Moses 1898 to 1976 . These are the only siblings I know of. My father Howard Webster Moses 1922 to 1989 had a sister Walsie Moses Mooney 1924 to 1992.
She past never having children. I and my youngest sister are the last of the Moses Sir name in our family. My oldest sister Jeannine Elane Moses Webster 1948 to 1998. I have no male children only daughters. So my Moses family name will end with me. But it would be nice to show my daughters as much as i can of their family.

john should have had a soon of approx 16 years old in 1820, but we do not know where this "John" was born, he was over the age of 45 in 1820 according to the Warren County Census in Georgia in Capt Elijah Jones Prec.(?)
