Name: Andrew Paisley <email@example.com> Date: 2012-01-17 Surnames Hoffman/Huffman, Moore, Hager Comments:
I have two different people that I am totally stuck on in my family tree. My Great-Great-Great Grandmother was named Sarah Ann Hager. Her maiden name was Moore. She was married to Joseph William Hager on August 31, 1891 in Jackson, Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was married before to Emma L. Brown and had a son John Frank Hager. Together, Joseph and Sarah had a son, my Great-Great Grandfather, William Washington "Will" Hager who married Lemma Mae Hoffman (Pronounced "Huffman"), and also a daughter Clara May Hager who married Jesse Theodore James. Joseph died in 1937 and in 1940, Sarah married James Blyze in Jackson, Missouri. He was dying, and as a midwife, she married him to take care of him until his death which was a month later. I know nothing about her parents except that her father was born in Kentucky and her mom was born in Missouri. She once told family that she had been married before to a man with the surname Hicks and that they came to Missouri in a covered wagon with horses. She said she woke up one day and he had left, and she never saw him again. I know she was born about 1873 and that she died in 1964 in Jackson but I can't find the exact dates. She is buried in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson. Also, Lemma Hager, Sarah's daughter-in-law, was the daughter of Jack Hoffman and Mary Snoweynite "Snowey" Tuck Hoffman. Evidently, Jack died shortly before Lemma's birth in 1899. I know he married Snowey in Kennett, Dunklin, Missouri. Can someone help me please?

I am searching for any family history of the "Taylor" family tree.
My Great-Great Grandfather was named "George (Washington) Taylor". He was a slave (most likely in the State of Mississippi)in the 1800's After gaining his freedom he met and married "Mandy (Surname unknown)" and possibly migrated to Clairbourne Parrish, Louisanna in 1868 were he officiallytook the name of "George Taylor" and work as a "sharecropper" (possibly for a Mr. Frank Taylor).
I know that when George and Mandy migrated to Clairboure Parrish, LA that they had one son named "Will Taylor"(My Great-Grand Father) and two daughters "Elizebeth and Margeret" (My Great-Aunts).
As an adult, my Great-Grandfather "Will Taylor" married "Molly Saunders" and lived in Columbus, Mississippi. They had 7 children, Sidney, Ethel, Earlene, Bill, Thomas, Pat and Rommey.
My Grandfather was "Sidney Taylor Sr." who married "Idell Batton" and lived in Rankin,County, Mississippi and migrated to Detroit, Michigan in the 1940's They had two sons, Raymond Lee Taylor (My Father) and Sidney Taylor Jr.both of Detroit, Michigan.
My name is "Michael R. Taylor" of Detroit, Michigan.
