I appreciated you reading of Hooper Cemetery in Laclede County, MO. Does Elizabeth Coalter Fulbright have a marker of some kind in this cemetery? I was there once but could not find it. I know it is badly overgrown. I descend from John and Elizabeth's daughter Susanah Daniels. She had two daughters, Jane E. (Eveline who married her cousin, Henry S. Fulbright, son of David "Judge" Fulbright and Elizabeth Caroline Daniels who married Mathew J. Huffman, my ancestors.
Do you know if Fulbright Reunions are still held?

I am the great-granddaughter of Jesse and Elizabeth Kinnard Mayberry. I believe Jesse was the son of Seth. I always heard they lived in Jackson County, Tennessee, but can't find their grave sites on Tombstone Project. Jesse's son, John K. married Mary T. Randolph in 1892 in Sparta. Mary's family are all buried in Board Valley Cemetery. They came to Oklahoma in the early 1900's. Mary's brother married John's sister.

I am doing research for a friend that is the grandson of Edward Combs. He and wife Katherine(Bopp, we feel) Combs, left two of their boys on the street to be abondended. They were taken in by friends. One of the two boys was Joseph Combs, B. 1916 in St. Louis. The Bopp family has a BIGGGG cemetery in Kirkwood. Katherine the mother was believed to be a Bopp. It is remebered after the war, probably WWI., the grandfather wrote off the family and just disappeared. Is there any way you can helpin this story? My great great grandfather married Louis C Merrits sister, Elizabeth Ann Merrit. I have an autobiography written by Elizabeth's son Paris Clark Martin which has quite a few stories and anecdotes about his Merrit Grandparents and his "Uncle Louis's visits and his children". I have a strong hunch that Louis's son, James F. is named for his grandfather who was Fleming Merrit. Elizabeth named one of her sons, James Fleming. I have my family tree oh rootsweb and ancestry.com now. Also have the Memoirs typed into word for easy transmission and have the permission of Paris's great grandson to share it with family.

Randy, I e-mailed you about info on Mary Bradley and Joseph Hinds. They were my Great Great Grandparents. My Great grandmother was Caroline Hinds born April 1876 in Jones County, Iowa. That would make James Raynes Bradley and Jane Rainier my Great Great Great Grandparents. I saw my Great grandmother (Carrie) many times before she passed away. I became interested in genealogy when I visited her in the nursing home when I was around 15 yrs old and she told me of her having an indian boyfriend and moving across Iowa in a wagon pulled by oxen. I even saw Violet her sister at a reunion I was at one time. I have a china headed doll that my grandmother found in her attic and she had a cloth body made for it. The doll has a dress and slip that I believe were Violets old dress material and slip material. That is what my grandmother told me. If you have anything interesting about James and Jane Bradley please let me know. I have been to Amber cemetery manys times taking pictures of the tombstones and copying the info from the tombstones. I'm surprised to see so many Mayberry's listed. It's been told that this line of Mayberry's changed their name from Nestler (? Spelling) to Mayberry in the 1800's. New to genealogy on the web but was thrilled with all the work you have done on the Mueller's. All my great uncles are listed on my dad's dad side. Wow, back 7 generations. Hopefully I can help with some info on my grandfather's family - Theodore Gustave Mueller, married Anna Helen Oesterreicher November 25, 1921, St. Louis, Mo. divorced about 1947 (maybe records Cook County, IL), remarried a Gertrude - don't know when or where, could be New York.
Theodore and Anna: 3 children: Russell Theodore Arthur Mueller, born October 19, 1920 in St. Louis, Mo. at home, married to Zenia (they currently live in the Dallas area and probably why the info from SSI on his father came back with Dallas info instead of Miami, Florida.) 5 children, LaVerne Elsie Mueller Rude, born April 26, 1922 St. Louis, MO, at home, died April 5, 1993, Mesa, Arizonia 4 children, and my father, Theodore Edward Mueller born, Oak Park Hospital, Oak Park Illinois, January 11, 1931 6 children, 5 surviving. I am searching for my gr grandfather, William A. Flood. He was born about 1825-30 - possibly in Connecticut. He married Hannah Gordon in Manhattan on 18 Apr. 1848. They were in the 1850 Boston, Mass Census - with no children listed and there should have been at least one. Next they are in San Francisco, CA. Thank you for the information regarding the parents of Susannah Sutherland. It is the first information about her parentage that I have seen.
I know that my gggg-grandfather was John Sutherland Madole (b. 1821). His parents were Samuel Madole (b. 1798) & Sarah Ross (b. 1798). We believe (though it is not properly documented) that Sarah's parents were David Ross (b. 1753-63) and Susannah "Susan" Sutherland (b. 1767).
Sarah Ross claimed to be 1/4 Cherokee. There are reports that she, her children, and grandchildren spoke the Cherokee language fluently. I have assumed that the Cherokee lineage comes from the Ross side, but I could be wrong. I would very much like to expand on this aspect of my family tree (although it makes me only 1/256 or 0.39% Cherokee) and would appreciate any knowledge you may have about whether or not the Cherokee lineage comes from the Sutherland side.

It sure is hard to get your attention, but I would sure like to get you take on this. Just this week, I received a reply to a letter I had written to Retta McClure Lawson in Lebanon. Until now, every single bit of information I had told of David McClure arriving in Missouri all by himself. But Retta sent me a copy of a handwritten history by Elsie Adair Evans, which started out: "Dave McClure (Uncle Joe's daddy) moved to Laclede Co., MO from Tenn. with his father. Don't know the date, and Dave was only 16 years old..." It went on to mention his marriage to Mahala and list their children. There was also a copy of a hand-drawn pedigree chart which showed David's father as "Pleasant McClure." Any comments?

I have been researching my family tree since 1980. It was only last year that I came across the Fulbright branch. My father's grandparents were Braxton D. Smith and Mary J. Dunkerson. The parents of Brack Smith were Leonard Smith, born in GA in 1827; and Susannah Wheeler, born 1827-1830 in TN. Leonard and Susannah were married in Greene Co., MO in 1852. They were listed in the Webster Co., MO Census for 1860; the Boone Co., AR Census for 1870; and the Sharp Co., AR Census for 1880. It is in the 1870 Boone Co., AR Census that I believe there is a connection to the Fulbright line. Leonard and Susannah Smith were listed one household away from Henry Fulbright and his wife Isabella Sanders Fulbright. Also listed as living with Henry Fulbright was an old woman named Susannah Wheeler. She was 82 years old in 1870 and listed VA as her birth state. I know that Henry Fulbright's father William Wilson Fulbright had a sister named Susannah, but I have not been able to connect a Susannah Fulbright to any Wheelers.
Do you have any information in your research that would verify my suspicions? If not, I would still be interested to know what information that you do have on the Fulbrights.

Second; Daniel Fulbright and his first wife, Nancy Woolsey were my 2nd Great Grandparents. Their son, William Daniel
Fulbright and his wife, Mary Abigail Brock, were my Great Grandparents. Their daughter, Mary I.( Isobelle or Isabel(e))Fulbright, born in Dallas Co., TX (as was her brother, Leander Kelly(Dink)Fulbright, not in Laclede Co., MO. Her other sibling were born in MO.)and her first husband, Charles Alfred Crow, were my Grandparents. After my Grandfather, Charles Alfred Crow died (Dallas Co., Irving, TX, 30 Dec.1916), Mary I. Fulbright married R.S. Davenport and lived in Sulpher OK., until about the mid 1930's, when they both moved to Ventura Co., CA. Mary I. Fulbright, Crow, Davenport, died on 3 Dec. 1954, and is buried here in Ventura (city), at Ivy Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Ventura Co., CA.
