My grandfather Michele Bova came from Temini to the USA aprox 1900. He was the son of Frank Bova and Antonia Guiliano. He had a brother Joe, sisters Santina and Rosina. His brother Joe came to the USA with him along with Tony Comella and his sister Rosina came later and married ________Pupura and moved to Wheeling West Virgina. I visited Termin abt 30 yrs ago and found his childhood church, his name is inscribed on the side of the altar and visited the cemetry. Would love to find out more and make some connections.

I have Bova's in my family. Grandmother's mother was Concetta Bova who came to the US in 1911. I have recovered the record from the Ellis Island website. I do not have information on Concetta Bova's parents and am looking for it. She was born in 1855 in Termini Imerese and died in Pittsburgh in 1928. Her father was Mikele Bova born in 1830, death date unknown probably around 1904. Her mother was Ignazia Geraci born 1830, death date pre-1904. Thank you for a wonderful site. Contact me if any info I have provided can be linked with yours.

My grandmother, Francesca Bova, married Michele Comella in 1913. She raised one family in Rhode Island and then moved to Rome, NY, to marry Dominic Comis (Domenico Comisso) and raise another family that shows up in the 1930 Census. My mother, Rose, was born to them in 1927. My grandmother's parents were Ceci (sp?) and Philomena Bova, as best as I can remember.
