I am linked to the Thorn family as my greatX2 aunt Ann King (1826-1913)of Whitchurch, Buckinghamshire married Provis Thorn (1831-1915). Excellent website! Looked at it again after a while away from it. Mariah Thorne (1816-1889) was my great-great-great grandmother. She married Thomas Keinch (1812-1841) who was a butcher. Nice to see pictures of my ancestors! I live in Hemel. My family "emigrated" from Bucks in the 19th Century and have now wandered back!

Hi,
I'm interested in Bob Thorne,b 1872 in Aston Clinton. He was married to Miriam Tomlinson, in 1901 Miriam and Bob were next door neighbours in East Ham of Fred Tomlinson and his wife, Ann (my great grandparents). Fred died in his early 30's of TB and Bob became the guardian of Fred's children, one being my fraternal grandmother. Fred and Bob were both school masters and obviously good friends as well as brothers-in-law.
I guess that Bob is connected to your family.

Goerge Thorne born 1856 Wingrave Bucks and Eliza Edmunds born 1854 Netwon Longville Bucks.
George's parents were Richard Thorne 1827 Weedon and Ann ? 1825 Whitchurch bucks.
Richard's parents were William Thorn 1807 Weedon and Sarah French 1807 Weedon.
I recently went round the graveyards at Weedon, Whitchurch, Hardwick, Cubbington and Wing, I took lots of photo's and had a number of Thorne photos, would you like me to e-mail them?
