Comments:
In your Josiah Marcum entry you list Alfred a son of Josiah which is correct. But you have his death listed to early (I am still looking for that info) because his last son was my grandpa Randolph P. Marcum and he was born in 1865. I also know he had his last child Martha after my Grandad. Just to let you know. PS great page nonetheless!!

The guidance below $urlll/$page and in the How to Avoid Foreclosure pamphlet is applicable http://start-tool.com// to homeowners with FHA Insured loans. While a good deal of this information may apply to all homeowners in danger of losing their homes, not all of the foreclosure avoidance tools mentioned may be available to you if you have a VA or conventional loan. Additionally, HUD/FHA does not have any Loss Mitigation oversight over VA or conventional loans. Please contact your lender or a housing counseling agency.

Comments:
Thank you for this informative website. It is people like you who give people like us, a chance to find out who and where we came from.

We all have the knowledge to find out who we are, where we came from and to have our own identity, if we search hard and have a little more then just luck.

With the help of wonderful people as you, we will find the missing lengths.

With my computer, I hope the successful search on the Internet will re-establish forever my true familial ties.

No one should live their lives without knowing who they are and to whom they belong.

It is all our birthright to know our true heritage! I am proud of my Melungeon ancestry, on my Mothers side of the family!

Again, thank you very, very much!

Comments:
I found your site very interesting, especially since I found my Buttry ancestors here.my Buttry ancestor was William Buttry ,William Buttry,Gertrude "Getty"Buttry,(family members have told me that she was married to a Lum Carroll, and that Samuel was his child, but no one knows for sure:anyway she always used Buttry as her last name until she married Sam Viles. She and Sam didn't have any children. Her son John Walter Buttry was my grandfather,he married Giola Trent. He was killed when a train hit him in Feb.29,1946.Their daughter Eula Mae is my mother. She married my father Lonnie Jefferson in 12-23-1940.She has 2 sisters,Bernice, who married Eugene Brady, and Lillie Lee,who married (1) Sidney Gregg ,he died in 1971,and (2) (!James McManus, who died about 2 months ago.Her brother Gaines, married Eloise Eller. He died in 1995. My name is Sherley Jefferon Wilmeth. My husband is Murrell Wilmeth. We have two daughters and three grandsons.I understand the Jeffersons,Singletons(my paternal grandmother),the Foleys,as well as the Beelers, lived in Hawkins and Hancock and Claiborne Counties.I am also related to the Rheas. My great-great grandfather William Marion Jefferson married Margaret Rhea. She was the daughter of Sterling Rhea and Samantha McAnally. He was descendent of John, and then John and Febra. My Aunt Alene Jeffrson married James Beeler nad their daughter has started doing research on the Beelers.I will tell her of your site.It has been very interesting.I also found your info on the melungeons very interesting.

Appalachian area surnames are you researching Trent ,Feeback,
Comments:
My husband was Lenvel Wayne Trent from Zachariah, KY. His father was Huey Trent from WV and his mothers name was Effie. My husband has a sister named Willa Dean and I thought she must have been named after a relative as this is such an unusual name.
My Father was Ora C. Feeback from KY and his fathers name was John Feeback. John was murdered in about 1918 and my fathers mother was Lora Mae and they lived around Paris
If you know anything about any of these people email me the info as I would like to be able to tell my son about his family on his fathers side.
