I Connect to the following Surname Line Daniel Morehouse and Mary (Burt)
My Website don't have one yet
Comments:
I am researching the same family line as you are. I am starting the Morehouses from the first ancestor who came to the U.S. From what I have read, all Morehouses who lived in New England descend from Thomas. I am trying to connect this family to Daniel (and Mary). I have a complete line of the Burt's from the 1500's. I have also connected Mary to the Burt family for these reasons: the closeness of Daniel and David; David's nephew, Theophilus, also served in the NY Volunteers; Daniel and Mary named a son, Theophilus (not a common name); Mary's other brother, Benjamin, was also a Loyalist, )having served during Tryon's raid on the Supplies at Danbury) and he moved his family to New Brunswick in 1783; and there is not much info about Mary (whose birth was in 1746) as to what happened to her. Benjamin's family was split by the war, with some of his brothers moving to Warwick, NY and serving with the Continental Army.

I would love to exchange information with you if you are interested. Just send me an email!

His father was named Frederick Morehouse married to Elizabeth. They had nine children also. I believe their names were: Roland,George, Frank, Jack, Tom, Alex, Hannah,( was only girl)Levi, not sure of the other boy's name. I know they married into the Frank Weaver's family. I have also heard the names of Levi Morehouse, Daniel Morehouse mentioned by my grandparents. George had horses in Blissfield, every reunion he would bring them out all dressed. They were beautiful. My Uncle had got the information on our roots from a lady from Nova Scotia. His name was Harry Morehouse only son of Thomas ALLEN Morehouse. I have made a connection to the family tree of Peter Lingley and Mary Day. My Great Grandfather, Joseph Edward Lingley, is apparently the son of Joseph Lingley-6180 (1973-1861). His mother is probably Elizabeth-6604, the second wife of Joseph.
I have a letter from Mary Ethel "Mollie" Lingley of Scarborough, Ontario. Mollie is the daughter of Duncan Gordon Lingley who is the brother of my grandfather, Stenning Harding Lingley. Together with John James Robertson Lingley, they are the sons of Joseph Edward Lingley and Teresa Robertson. Mollie knew her grandfather Joseph Edward Lingley, and his sibblings. Mary Olivia Lingley-5506 is the half-sister of Joseph Edward Lingley. Lewis Warren Lingley-7003 is his brother. And, Bartlett Lingley-7013 is his half-brother.

I have the New York Volunteer information on Sgt Daniel Morenouse.
If you go to this website, http://www.royalprovincial.com/military/musters/nyv/nyvkane1.htm
you will see him when he was a Corporal in Savannak in Captain Kane's Company. He is listed later as a Sergeant in Captain Shank's Company of the Queen's Rangers. You cah find this at the following web site http://www.royalprovincial.com/military/musters/qarng/qarshank1.htm
My interest in this is a statement in David's will, in whihc he left 20 shillings to his beloved daughter, Cloe Stone. The top of the page indicaes that she may be the wife of Sgt. Joshua Stone. He is the Loyalist (also NYV) who led my family to New Brunswick after the Treaty of Paris in 1783. I would like to confirm the names of their children. If you can lend a hand in this, it would be greatly appreciated.
