I found your family genealogy website very interesting and very well designed, researched and informative. I am related to many of the families incluced in your database, usually in an obtuse way as many of my family lines parrallel the early New York,Loyalist,New Brunswick,Upper Canada and finally Michigan migrations over several generations.Family connections to the Teeples,Mabie,Secord,Wellman,Logan and other families.Thank you for all your work and sharing it.Bruce

William Nelson Furrey was born in Bruce County, Canada on October 10, 1872. My grandmother, Viola Mae Furrey Weinert was his daughter. I have been looking for some of his family for a very long time--really like genealogy--but grandma Weinert didn't talk very much about her family--her mother died when she was about nine years old. Her mother was Rose Trickey Furrey. I never knew until grandpa WEinert died and my uncle Connie found some papers that Nels real name was William---everyone I ever heard of called him Nels. He states that he came on vesel called Manatoba. He arrived atthe port of Sault Ste Marie in Michigan on August 15, 1884. I only remember seeing he once when I wasn't very old--he was not very tall and had blue eyes. Nels also had one son,Earl, who never married and moved from Hiawiatha, Michigan when Nels died and stayed with my grandparents for some time. I know this is the right family tree because there were some old papers that Earl had from his dad about the mines in Canada and the names of several of the family was on them---would love to hear from you --- I don't know who Nels dad and mother were but I am working on it. Lois Weinert---Bruce, Wisconsin

Name: Lesley (Dalrymple) O'Neil <lesleyoNOSPAM@telusplanet.net> Date: 2003-11-03 Your genealogy connection to my family tree Ann Elizabeth Furry was my great grandmother Comments:
Ann Elizabeth married Robert Dalrymple in 1822 in Montreal, Quebec. One tree I have--an old one put together by hand in the 1960s by one of my late second cousins--says that Ann Elizabeth's father was Henry Minor, mother Ann Budge. (Henry--shades of Catawissa, a story not much known in the 60s outside Pennsylvania?) Other places state that Ann's father was Silas Minor. I'd love to sort this one out in some definitive fashion! For now, I'm sticking with Silas, but the fact that the Henry reference is from several decades ago makes me wonder if it is the correct one....

Re Nathan Millard : You have his DOB as 1727. Several other sources have it as 1737. His brother Jason is at all sources as born in 1727, and it would mean that Ruth had to be pregnant with Nathan as soon as Jason was born, and it's probably not likely....

Hi Jennifer,
You left no email address-so I am posting here in my guestbook in case you visit again you might read this.
My first known Minor ancestor was Jacob (probably Mohner>Miner>Minor) who came to PA from Germany, eventually emigrating to Ontario. I don't think we have any Minor connections in Virginia. Which William Minor do you refer to?
