It is as if there is no link there. I have a very specific time frame and 2 names I am searching for and where. I would love the help you offer. Do you have any suggestions? Paula

I thought I was doing well with my mother's family. My aunt informed me I don't have her father's family right. So, I have to start over and need some help. Madeline

I'm new to computers and new to genealogy. I'm soon to be a great grandmother. My husband has Parkinsons and I hae been his caregiver for several years. He is now in a rest home. They say I'm still a caregiver...my heart and mind is always with him, though I only visit him once, sometimes twice a day. I'm fascinated with genealogy. I have an ancestor who was in the Revolutionary War and a great grandfather who was in the Civil War...so these topics are of special interest to me. I appreciate any and all help that is/has been given to me...and would like to reciprocate some time (when I learn more about puters, etc.)
Now I have some time I plan to take some puter classes and go to libraries, etc., which I have not been able to do before. Thank you....Betty in OK. (Oklahoma is OKAY.) I have lived in NE, CA, AZ, and never dreamed I'd ever live in OK...but here I am. My daughter lives here...and grdaus.

I have been having a wonderful time exploring the Us Census
and have located cousins while searching various sites. What a thrill to find a senior newby site with such a generous supply of answers. I am printing many off as I know that my memory will not be of help tomorrow (or this afternoon) I know of no where else that provides so much down to earth help. Several years ago a daughter found, in helping clean a ware house, an old computer without a hard drive and an old discarded printer and said that she wanted me to write my memories. I just couldn't use a tape recorder and arthritis made writing difficult. Much of the several family searches are not documented by me and I am reluctant to share for fear of providing miss information. Many, many thanks to all who ask the questions and provide the answers. Often I have not been able to find help because I didn't know how to ask the right question and as I have gradually updated my equipment there are always more questions.

I don't know beans from applebutter about using the computor.I took a course a long time back, had a 3.5 to use, the course on 95 windows, really missed a lot. yours is the best source of ramdon helpful information on computor use and genealogy I have found. Stumbled on it by accident, sure glad I did.

Hi Brian!
Much congradutlations on your wonderful website! You have done so much work and it all looks so terrific. We all on the GenNewbie list are very lucky to have you as a member. Your humor is unparralleled (you don't have spell check on this!) (uh-oh!) as I was saying no one can compete with your humor! Thanks for all that you do to make genealogy and computing easier, and the humor is a great gift for us in these trying times. I was one of those who signed up for the new lists that you listed! Did seem odd, but, heh, lets see what it's all about right??? Your page is great and we appreciate you!
