Name: John Maynard <on request> Date: 2009-11-14 Your Views of the Newsletter by Jim Excellent Should a Newsletter be continued I'm willing to contribute. Comments:
My brother Harold Ward Maynard and I have been researching the Enyarts, through Mary Enyart (1762-1835) who married William Cate (1755-1842) in Jefferson Co. Tennessee. Their daughter, Narcissus N. Bryan (1825-1875) married George A. Keener (1827-1859). Their daughter Margaret Caroline Elizabeth Keener (1848-1879) married our Great Grandfather James Carson Maynard (1842-1921). We are descended through their son, our Grandfather Milton Monroe Maynard (1874-1952) who married Elsie Genevieve Kirby (1880-1919).
Our Maynard/Manard line reaches back to Jefferson Co. Tennessee and Wilkes/Surry Co. North Carolina. There are overlaps with the CATE Family Tree on two instances.
John Russell Maynard (15-November-2009).

I am a descendant of Rebecca Enyart (Carel, Yellis, John, Silas, John, John, Abner)who (along with her husband, Alexander McQuinn, and other family members) travelled across the Oregon Trail in 1844 to what is now Portland, OR. Incidentally, she had fraternal twins, reputedly the first Caucasian twins born in the Northwest Territory. One of those twins was my GG-grandmother, and I am the mother of fraternal twins. I am very interested in other fraternal twins in the family. (The potential of having fraternal twins is inherited, through the mother.)

I very much enjoyed reading the newsletters. However, I don't know much about the Enyart family. My father, William Anthony Enyart, was born in 1933 and passed away in 1988. He lived in Illinois his entire life. His parents were Letitia Baker and Earl Enyart. My father's siblings are/ were Charles, Ann, Rosemary, and Patricia. I am unable to find a link between my immediate family and the history in these newsletters. I have searched the internet for leads but came up empty handed. Any information you can send my way on a link between the Enyarts from Illinois and the Enyarts described herein would be very much appreciated.

I was adopted by the Pierson family in 1967 and met my father in the 70's and my mother in 1996, she now resides in Marrianna, Florida and my is still in Jackson, Michigan. I would like to hear from any of the other Enyart clans from around the world.
