Note that you have listed John A. ESCH (1864-1893) married to Regina HARDNOCK, & their 2 sons (John Valentine & Louis Charles).
John A. was a first cousin to my grandfather, though nearly 20 years separated their DOBs. John's mother, Catharina PAULY (1834-1890), was a sister of my grt-grandfather, Jacob PAULY (1838-1916).
I have attempted to follow Regina & her sons in the Census, as well as her brothers-in-law, Nicholas & Mathias ESCH. Have found all in 1900 Phila., where they moved following John A.'s death, probably in the mines, as records indicate him being "killed."
Following all parties in 1910, & after, stymies me. Do you know where John V. ESCH went in 1920 & 1930 (the now available Census)?

I have a John Campbell married to Ella Baldwin. They had at least 1 daughter, Eva Mae. She married Niles Sylvester Platz. These people lived in/around the St.Joseph County Indiana area. Just an update for dates etc. Gabriel Tarwater who married Martha Jane (Auberry)Tarwater born 2-5-1828 in Mo and died 11-9-1912 in CA. Martha was born 1-4-1829 and died 1-16-1926 in CA. Nancy Larrison was Martha's daughter from her marriage to Archibald LARRISON. Children born to Gabriel and Martha are: John Henry Tarwater b:12-26-1849, unk when he died, Jacob Tarwater born 1855 died 1880 of consumption, Joseph Erza Tarwater b:12-5-1861 d:6-20-1941,Josephine Tarwater b:1-12-1862 d: 7-30-1949, Charles Augustus Tarwater b:1866 d:6-30-1924. Don't know if you needed that much info, but thought I would provide it to you. This is from family records. Gabriel and Martha were my husband's gg grandparents. They are all buried in Martinez, CA, Contra Costa County, CA. Some at Alhambra Cemetery and others at Seasons Cemetery. Gabriel and Martha were one of the earlier pioneers to settle on a farm in Clayton, CA.If you need any more info, just e mail me.

My great grandfather was David McGuire husband of Ruthy Ann Odell. My grandfather wea Asron Jackson, father, William Otto.
I found it interesting that there was two birthdaets for my grandfather,( July 1862) and (December 16, 1860). The 1860 date was the one told to me by my grandfather however, I have always doubted it was right. I have seen the 1862 date on census records. My grandmother, Lucinda Ann Ledington, was born in 1860 and I always suspected my grandfater may have fibbed a little so he would be the same age.

I am researching my husbans family. His GGGrandfather is David Campbell b. abt 1779 in S.C. although I don't know where in S.C. He had 1 son David, b. abt 1819 also in S.C. and 2 daughters Mary and Lucinda, and his wife was named Flene (?sp), but I feel certain she is a 2nd wife. These are the ones I'm sure of, and think he had another son Jesse, b. abt 1808. They moved to Butler Co. AL sometime between 1840-1850, but don't know if it was a straight migration. John ESCH appears in the 1890 Schuylkill County (PA) Directory, with his brothers (Nicholas & Mathias), his wife (Regina) & son (John). The surname was spelled as pronounced - ASH.
The names & ages of the 3 ESCH male adults listed in the above, do match exactly the DOBs that I have from church records in Germany. The ESCH family has been a "brick wall" for me these past 6-7 years. What "sold" me about the entry in the Directory was that John, with Emma Hardnock were godparens to Ferdinand Spader at St. Mauritius', Ashland, PA, & that Emma had a sister named Regina.
Have information that I will share on ESCH family. Do you have add'l on John's sons? I noted that Regina had a grandson, John L. Esch (born in 1917) living with her in 1920, but no sign of either of her sons.
