2013 will mark the 150th anniversary of the Idaho Territory. To celebrate this landmark the Idaho Genealogical Society will like contributions to its migration project. Please send us a photo and a brief bio about your earliest ancestor to come to Idaho. We would like your approval to publish this information in our Quarterly magazine, on our website, on our IGS Facebook page, and in a blog. Since Franklin is the oldest settlement in Idaho, what is happening in 2013 that IGS needs to know?

"Greetings From the Franklin Historical Site"
Hi, I want to let everyone visiting this site know that you are welcome to come to the Franklin Relic Hall Museum, in Franklin Idaho to learn more about Idaho history. This year the doors will be opening Tuesday, May 31, 2011 from 11:00 to 3:00. We are excited to share the large collection of artifacts, photographs, documents, historical buildings, and histories of the first settlers to southern Idaho and northern Utah. We are also always looking to collect more histories to add to the Franklin Relic Hall Library, these histories are of the first settlers in Franklin. I encourage all family members of the orginal settlers, to come to Franklin and share your histories of your ancestors with others that are looking for more information about them. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have about the Franklin Historical Site or the settlement of Franklin in 1860.
