I am looking for information on my Grandfather, Bert Cameron.
He was born in Montana when it was a Territory. I have not
been able to obtain a copy of a birth certificate. His date of
birth was obtained from other documents. I don't know who his
parents were or their names. His Father was born in Nevada and
his Mother was from Minnesota. There were siblings but their
names were not known. Bert's father was a trapper and traded
with the Indians. Bert went into mining and lived for the most
part in Mexico and Arizona. During the 1940's His Wife, Carmen and children (now older) decided to move to California. Bert remained in Arizona to start a business. He communicated with his family for a short time then, he was never heard from again. I have not been able to locate a death certificate or
find him in any cemeteries.

DEATH: LAST SAD RITES FOR MR. E.B. STAIR
Funeral services were held on Saturday March 26th, at 2:30 PM at the Methodist Church with Rev. Ray Mc Clure of Williaton, N.D., a former Pastor of the local Methodist Church, a close friend of the Stair Family, and Rev. Ole Aarvold officiating.
A large concourse attended from Beach, Glendive and all parts of Wibauz County, and some from parts of Fairview. Many lovely flowers were sent as a small token of love and esteem in which he was held.
A memoriam fund was also given in his memory which will be used at the discretion of his family.
Mrs. Wayne Bailey, Miss Beaulah Keith, and Nr. Donald Anderson sang "It is well with my soul", "In the Garden", and "Sunrise Tomorrow" accompanied by Mrs. M.D. Bushman.
Active pallbearerswere Mr. Stanley Woods, Mr. Marvin Bushman, Mr. Howard Finkle, Mr. Ray Scammon, Mr. Joe Zinsli, and Mr. Wayne Bailey.
Honorary Pall Bearers were Mr. W.L. Staggs, Mr. Clarence McCain Sr., Mr Justin Cassidy, Mr. Sievert Knudson, Mr. I.D. Rimel, and Mr. John Nelson.
Mr. Emory B. Stair was born Sept 9 1879 in Dungannon, VA. The son of Laura & Clifton Stair. When a young man of 21 he moved to Winchester, KY, where he met and married his wife Dora Stair Sept 17 1901.
He moved with his family to Maxbase, ND in 1904. In the fall of 1907 he rode a bycycle from Maxbase, ND to Montana and took up a homestead 7 miles north of Wibaux. He built a house during the winter, with help from his neighbors, Mr. W.L. Staggs, and Mr. Clarence McClain, And moved his family here the next year.
Mr. Stair was baptised and joined Methodist Church in Dungannon, VA when 17 years of age. He helped build and oragnize the Wibaux Methodist Church, of which he was a charter member; and was active up to the time of his recent illness. He served as Sunday School Sup't. and teacher for many years.
Mr Stair took an active interest in civic and community affairs. He was County Commissioner of Wibaux County for 18 years and was a Star Route mail carrier North of Wibaux for 20 years.
Due to ill health he retired from farming several years ago; and during the past year was hospitalized several times with heart attacks, one from which he succumbed on Monday, March 21st, 1955, at 8:45 PM.
Besides his many friends, Mr. Stair leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, Dora Stair, two daughters Mrs. Ray Eisenbart, of Wibaux, and Mrs. Larry James of Billings, two sons T/Sgt. E Banner Stair, of Anchorage, Alaska, and Stuart L. Stair of Salen, OR. Also 13 granchildren, and 2 great granchildren.
Proceeding him in death were two sons Maror Calvert L. Stair, who was killed in the Korean War, and an infant who passed away in North Dakota.
Internment occured in the Wibaux Cemetary, Monday upon arrival of his son Banner from Alaska.
The Wibaux Pioneer-Gazette joins the large circle of friends in extending sincere sympathy to the relitives in their bereavement.

HEART ATTACK KILLS JOHN CALEY, PIONEER OF ROCKVILLE, SUNDAY
John Caley, father of Mr. Archie Clawson, died Sunday afternoon at 12:30 at the home of his daughter in Rockvale. Death was caused by heart trouble and old age. He had a paralytic stroke about a month ago from which he never recovered.
Mr. Caley was born at Balough, Isle of Man, Oct. 28, 1850. in 1870 he came to the United States and located at Lake Forest, Illinois, and later moved to Chicago where in 1878 he married Miss Agnes McComb. He moved to Lake Bluff in 1892 and came to Carbon County in 1899. Soon after arriving he took up a homestead a mile west of Rockvale where his wife died four years ago. Since 1920 he had made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Clawson.
He is survived by two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Clawson, and Mrs. C. M. Lyons, both of Rockvale; William R. Caley, Recluse, Wyo., and Guy R. Caley, Chicago. Three sisters and two brothers also survive, Mrs. Elmer Curphey, Vicksburg, Mass.; Mrs. Elizabeth Green, Lawton, Okla., Robert Caley, Bruse, Wisc., and William Caley of England.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Clawson residence at Rockvale and internment will be in the Rockvale cemetery. The time of the services is pending word from relatives.
