My husband Paul was born in Canada, his parents were both from Hungary and are deceased. We have NO information regarding any other family, and I would love to get in touch with family in Hungary for him. His father was named Paul Szecsi, his mother Justina Nemeth, and Paul was told they were from the town of Szecs, which I do not believe to be true. He went to Hungary when he was 10, but remembers very very little. He will be 42 in November, and his father died right before his 18th birthday. His mother died about 13 years ago, but they had not spoken since his father's funeral, as she was seeing another man while his father was dying. Very sad. He has no family, and I love to help him find ANYONE. Can you or anyone else help me? I look forward to hearing from you, because I truly believe God does work miracles, too. I am the daughter of Thomas Sandle. My father lived in Kearny when he was a child until his early twenties. His siblings were Frank, Mary, Henry (Boe), John, Fritzy (I don't know what his real name was....this was a nick name), Anna (who died as a baby) and Jennie. I think there may have been a few more, but I do not know their names. They were all born in the 1920s & 30s. My grandparents were John & Jennie Felt. I believe they came into Ellis Island at some point. My dad said that my grandmother Jennie died from injuries suffered in a fall down the stairs. He mentioned my grandfather died later from a heart problem. I don't know if either of these are accurate. I know for sure they are buried in Holy Cross Cemetery.
I'm sure I have other relatives out there..........and would like to speak with them. I'm not sure the origin of my family for sure. My dad believed the family came here from Austria & Germany. Another time he thought they came from Hungary.

Many Koi (Koj/koji/koy/etc) are found on the Tiszabezded LDS microfilm records. They may also be kin to our relatives, the Bezzeg/Battyanyi family. We are still researching the Hungarian roots. Our local FHS/LDS library is still ordering films as we find links to other cities. We are aware that we may have family in both T-B and Mandok yet.
Both my parents have died and their general attitude was that "our parents came to America to be Americans", and did not talk much about the homeland. We have discovered letters and other papers since their deaths which show links to the old country.
I, too, have other relatives in America with whom I have also lost touch...or only found out about in the letters!
