Robert Wilson was born in Ireland and came to America at 9months old with his parents. They settled in PA. Robert met and married Mary Blair in PA. They moved to Muskingum, County, Ohio around 1810. Robert and Mary later moved to Pickaway county Ohio. Robert and Mary had 11 children. They are buried in Darby township, Pickaway, Ohio. That's about all the information I have on them.

Surnames I are looking for. KNOTTS, WILSEY, TEMPLE
Comments:
My gg-grandfather was Andrew Levi KNOTTS. He was b QA co, MD in 1770. We don't know who his parents were. I believe he was related to Robert KNOTTS, b ca 1725, QA co. We've just started a KNOTTS surname study group. So far, we have a QA co ,and WV KNOTTS. We have a DE , another WV, and a current QA KNOTTS coming. The WV KNOTTS and I matched 21 out of 25 markers. I believe there were probably two KNOTT(S) families in the QA/St. MARY's area, and probably two more in NE. Any male KNOTT(S), etc. interested in the DNA program, please contact me. My g-grandfather WM , b 1805, QA co, went to Oregon in 1845-46 on the Oregon Trail. Bob K, in PHX, AZ.

First of, we have a dual Thrash/Umstot connection in our family, first thru Michael Thresh / Catherine Umstot and John Thresh (Michael's brother) to Catherine's sister Rachel. Both marriages taking place in Hampshire/Mineral County 1823-24.

Secondly, my grandparents collected A LOT of information and history of our family and published it in hardcover copy, but only 30 copies were printed.

I have transcribed all of their books, along with photos and documents dating back into the last two centuries.

KINFOLK, which is the descriptive section of our roots (URL listed above) covers other surnames of BRADY, THRASH, KNAGGS, ROW, HENDERSON, CRISLIP, MATHEWS, SQUIRES, LOBBAN, UMSTOTT, WARE, WINGFIELD, COPELAND, LEMMON, VIQUESNEY, SHOMO and many others.

RECLAIMED MEMORIES covers the lives of my grandparents, told from my grandmother's view. Entailed is the many experiences of traveling and living all over VA, WV, Ohio and Florida before, during and after my grandfather's ministry, of which he spent many years in the WV United Methodist Conference.

POP TROY's ANTHOLOGY is my grandfather's life as a boy growing up in Junior, WV. He wrote an account of life in a story titled FROM ROWTOWN TO JUNIOR, which was also published in Goldenseal magazine in 1984. That issue was sold competely that year.

All three books are a walk back into time and I have also enhanced the browsing experience of Reclaimed Memories by adding additional photos of the many places that my grandparents journey, during their search for ur family roots.........

Comments:
My grandmother, Margie Eliza Yoes b. 5 Apr 1881 was the second wife of John William Harvey Malone b. 25 June 1878. I have just recently begun trying to trace my roots and have found quite a bit on the Yoes family, but not on the ancestors of my grandfather. Both died before I was born and my parents died at young ages, so I have no resources. If you know anything helpful I would so appreciate any response.

Comments:
I am interested in information about my lineage, but almost everyone is dead, and those who are alive don't have much information to go on. My dad is Robert McCall Hilleary. He had a brother, Dick McCall Hilleary. Their dad was Walter Hilleary, and his dad was Albert A. Hilleary. He had a brother, William. That is about all I know. Albert was a minister and evangelist in Johnstown, PA. He was known as the flying preacher.
