I am interested in researching the MacQueens from the late 1600's to the early 1700's. I am descended from Mary MacQueen of Corryburgh who married John Gordon. Her son, John Gordon, Jr was born approiximately in 1710.

Very nice website! I am a descendant of John Brown's son, Nicholas. Do you by chance know where John Brown came from? At first I thought he might be German (Braun) but now I'm assuming England, especially marrying a McQueen. Nicholas married a Bennett and his son Jesse married a Busey so not a lot German integration here. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

several years ago i left my name and some family information on a genealogy bulletin on the internet and a woman who had a book of macqueen genealogy contacted me because she knew that i was a distant cousin of hers. you see i had some information about her line that she had not previously known and she had information about my line that i did not know and so we were to swap information but somehow in my busy life at that point, children and also 3 moves in 2 years-we lost contact. i am related to dougal/dougall/dugal macqueen/mcqueen through my great-great-grandfather john wesley brown---i am not sure how he ties to him as there are so many options but nonetheless he does tie in with dougall macqueen. my children are grown now and i am off from school for the summer---so i hope to find the connection between my great-great-grandfather and dougall macqueen and when i do i will contact you and share some more mcqueen names which you do not have listed here.

Very cool site. My brother did a lot of research on our family tree and it took him to all the way back to Dugal McQueen. It peaked my interest and I found your site. One question though; I don't see John Thomas Joiner who is the some of Johnson F. Joiner and Mary E. Penn. Excellent job.
