Have searched for the BRENNAN family since 1985. My husbands greatgrandfather was born in Canada 1832, came to the USA 1852[?] Moved a lot, son John William born in 1862 in Iowa, daughter Ester Emma born 1864 Milwakee, WI, Anne born 1869 Peori, IL. Moved to Miller County, Mo filed a home stead Oct, 1870, 2 daughters were born there Louisa and Ida. He had married a Mary Sweeney--cold be spelled several ways. Then he married Mary E Gardner born 1838 in state of Maine. Wm died 1903 and in his will dated 1898 he named Mary Runnells and Agnes Pinckley. I saved the will and bought cds with those 2 names on it and never got a hit.
Last summer 2 ggranddaughters of Aunt ester Emma Hogue found the marriage of Agnes Brennan and Andrew PINCKLEY in Page County, IOWA. We found the death of Mary Brennan Runnels May 18, 1900 in Montgomery County, Iowa.
If you feel that these might be related, let me know as we do have more.

There's a Shubael Waldo born 1774 in NY, son of Shubael Waldo and Priscilla Smith. The elder Shubael died in 1807 so perhaps that prompted the move to Ohio?
I am descended from Nathan Waldo and Lois Hurlburt who are also listed on the Graves web site.

It looks fantastic! And yes, I agree with you that it must be from the early 1870s. Henry Schlesinger my great grandfather was a very tall man for his time; over 6' tall. My cousin, Barbara, says she remembers how his feet and hands seemed so enormous to her as a little girl.

Dear Jim, Without going into too much detail yet, I find a possible relative of mine, Katherine Wolinski & her daughter Pauline C, in 3 Virginia census reports: in 1910 in Lynchburg with husband Mannie/Maurice. In 1920, in Richmond, with daughter now Pauline C Neamon. In 1930 under the surname Walins in Richmond (at the same address as 1920.) Pauline is now married to Theodore Labenberg & they have a 2 year old daughter Helena. Everything matches up almost exactly in the three census reports, ages, where they were born (altho in 1930 Pauline is born in Virginia instead of NY), and occupation: grocer. Are you related to Theodore? Do you know what became of this family?

I'm searching for Irish Brennan's but what a search this has turned out to be. Now know my Brennan's are half siblings of the father of the famous musical Irish Brennan's but I'm searching the marriage to Brennan in which 4 children were born. My Brennan line begins in Dublin where Timothy the first child of Mary Murray and Paul Brennan is born in 1865. From Dublin, Private Paul Brennan and family moved with his British military unit to Toronto Canada, Jamaica and then return to Dublin after he left the British Military. Paul & Mary with their children Timothy, Paul, Patrick, James, John, Mary & Joseph remained in Dublin until at least 1881 when Mary was born. Possibly working with Mary's family the Murray's who owned/operated a thriving store that would survive until at least the WW1 era. They settled in Ottawa, Ontario moving at one time to Kingston Ontario and then again returning to Ottawa.

I'm finding an amazing amount of info. on the older Waldos, starting with Cornelius. Do you know that there are 4 family history books, including one that talks about the English relatives? Also, do you know about Peter Waldo who was in Lyons, France in the 12th century? It's fascinating stuff.
My line is Cornelius, John, Edward, Zaccheus, John, John, Lyman, Henry, Clarence, and Paul. From Lyman on, the family was in Muncie, Indiana.

The names I put as researching are just the major ones. Of course there are an unending list I could give.
My computer CRASHED and as I was looking around for info I lost I found you.
We are not from the same line of MORRISON. My line (as far as I can feel fairly sure) landed in New Hampsire, migrated to Penn, then down to North Carolina about 1750. My ancestor stayed until about 1850 and the moved to Tennessee. He was married there and stayed until 1870 when he moved to Arkansa. His son (my great grand father) moved back to Tennessee where my grand father and father were born.

I have already e-mailed you. I believe that we are distant cousins through Israel Schlesinger's wife, Eva. I am the great granddaughter of Israel & Eva's son, Henry, through his elder daughter, Etta Marie Schlesinger. I know very little about the Schlesinger family. My great grandfather, Henry Schlesinger, died in the 1950's after I was born in 1951.
Etta Marie Schlesinger (b. Columbus, OH; died in Missouri in the 1980s) married Theodore Schultze (b. Leadville, CO, died Troy, MO 10/13/1951). They had two children, my aunt, b. 8/10/1915 and my dad, b. 12/21/1916 both of whom are still living. Ruth Schlesinger married Faye Daugherty; they had one son, Jack Sayles Daughtery, who died several years ago in Parsons, KS.
I am interested in exchanging information with you. Also, I believe that I found Henry Schlesinger's brother, Theo, in the Social Security Death Index. B. 1863 died Cook Co., IL 1965, but am unsure. The dates do match!

This is a long shot but when I saw the name Cullen I thought I would inquire. I am trying to find out more about my adopted grandmother, (Mary Mee Sullivan) who was born in Waterbury, CT. I have been trying for years to find a lead to the Morrison line that belongs to my Paternal Grandmother. Her father was named Garrett Peyton Morrison and there may have been others from that line who hailed from Atlanta, Georgia during the Civil War era.
The other family line I am searching out is the Kirkland line from my maternal Grandmother. I have very little info on this line and only know my Great-Grandfather was named Frank Marion Kirkland and he married Rebecca Jane Selvidge in 1877 in Alabama. I am searching for my maternal grandmother (Mary Lucille Segar, Segar, Sagar; b. 1895, d. 1966)and great-grandmother. My great-grandmother was an opera singer in La Sace Lorraine, France then came to USA and was a singer/actress on Pantages Theater in Seattle & Tacoma, WA and Portland, OR. She went by the stage name "Rose Kellogg" and had my grandmother out of wedlock by a Chef in France. GM Mary was raised at Holy Names Academy here in Seattle and married my grandfather, Harold Eskildssen in 1927. I have come across several spelling variations on Mary's "maiden" name, but can't seem to find anything. Since GGM "Rose" was never married to Mary's father, I don't know if the Seger/Sagar name his or Rose's. Mary's funeral records show Seger, my Granfather's nephew (Max) has info from his great Aunt(in her 90's)that it was Segar but Max has family letters showing Sagar. My husband's paternal g-grandfather was Riley H. Bunch, born about 1810 supposedly in Virginia. He was married to Isabella Dawson. They had several children, their daughter Ida May Bunch being my husband's grandmother. They lived in Richmond and Shelby Counties in Missouri. Both died in Dallas, Texas in the 1890's.

My earliest Waldo is George,who fled the massacre in France, going to England and then the Colonies. The name was originally spelled Valdo. His son Daniel was married twice, to a Miss Dana, with whom he had several children, and to Miss King, whose daughter, Abigail married Nicholas Tastet in Ware, Massachusetts. Tastet is my maiden name.
I just found some info on David Waldo in the National Intellegencer Newspaper (1860)about money due him from the government for delivering corn to Fort Laramie.

My husband, father-in-law, grandfather-in-law and son are all James Brennan.
And it is go Irish (Notre Dame) not go Bucks.
My son was one of only four Jim Brennans when he attended Notre Dame and went by Seamus when he was there. My son Patrick had two other Patrick Brennans in his economics class at ND, so he went by Foo (as in Foo Fighters).
There are a great many Brennans that attended, but three of my sons didn't go there. But it still "Go Irish!!"
My Brennans came through Canada and upstate New York and wound up in Cleveland.
The Nevilles were originally in Independence and Bainbrige, Ohio.
The Russes were for New York State and then Parma, Ohio then Cleveland.
Murphys from Canada then back to the auld sod.
Wileys are from Canada but then I'm not sure.

I have a granddaughter who lives in largo florida. She married a Randy Morrison. His mothers name is Eda.I was just curious. Great site. I have hit a brick wall with my Schlesinger line. Do you know any more about the Schelsinger that married into your family?
