I noticed that while your last name is Holder it is not mentioned in your list of names being researched. I am searching for info on my gggrandfather, Taliaferro Holder, born around 1792 supposedly in Fauquier County VA. Taliaferro may be a middle name. His daughter Emily Jane had my grandfather John Toliver. My father was Paul James. All lived in VA. Nice site!

Hallo,

Fielding L. Stubblefield (b. 8/3/1809 in TN and d. about 10/2/1875 in Greene Co., IL) who married Martha S. Lorton.

Family Connection? Siedschlag
Comments:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~mygermanfamilies/Johannjr.html this is the site I stumble upon. My grgrandma was Augusta Siedschlag born Jan 8, 1849. She came to this country around 1867 with an older sister who was just married or getting married. She met and married Karl Kuhnert, married in PA , and moved to IL. She had 9 children, one named Herman and another named Mary. Your Mary Siedschlag has names and times that fit in with my Augusta. Do you think there could be any connection? You are about the only person whom I have seen with the Siedschlag name. -- Great work! I like the way you have your information put together.

My great-grandmother is Martha Severin Troemel. Her father, Friderik, came to America with his parents, Friderik and Sophie Albright. They sailed on the ship Elise Rueheke. I do not have a port of departure and it only names there home as Saxony. They came to Illinois settling in the Glenwood area, Cook county. Very near Chicago. They owned 225 acres of farmland. The son Friderik took over the farm in 1870 and was a horse breeder. Very wealthy. His eldest son, William, owned a brewery in Chicago. You have a wonderful sight. Thank you!

Comments:
My great, great grandfather was named Otto Lindekugel lived in Neb in late 1800's. Son George moved to S.D. (my great grandfather. Not sure if same Otto mentioned in your history (Elisabeth's nephew) but good chance. I will look into it.

Also, my father has visited Angern (near Magdeburg) and found the church where many Lindekugel's baptised back to 1750's. I think that is the Angern you are looking for?

Incidentially, my 9 year old son is named Frederick Lindekugel - the more things change..

Best regards,

Arn

My ggrandfather b-1834 came to Mexico with Maxmillian and Charlotta supported by Neopoleon III of France. He appeared in Weatherford, TX in 1868. Family Connection? Lindekugel
Comments:
My mother-in-law was born Evelyn Lindekugel in North Dakota. Her great-grandfather, Gottlieb Lindekugel, emigrated from Prussia about 1853, settling in Poi Sippi, Wisconsin.

We are sponsoring a Lindekugel family round up in Colorado Springs in July. Would like to make the connection to other Lindekugels. Am reasonably convinced they are all related way, way back because the name is so uncommon.

Please contact me.
