William Joseph Casey was my great grandfather. He was born in 1846 not 1845. He had to lie about his age to get into the Union Army when he arrived in the US.
Let me know if you want to extend the Casey line as I have 2 male children and my oldest has a son and a daughter.

Here is a copy/paste from the Humberstone Township biographies.
ELISHA FURRY, merchant, Humberstone, was born in the township of Wainfleet in 1831. His parents were Samuel and Elizabeth (McKay) Furry. In 1849 he married Sarah Ann, daughter of the late Matthias Zavitz, of the same township. They have a family of five: The eldest, Mary Elizabeth, married Walter Simpson, (now deceased); Margaret Angeletta, married to Lemuel R. Snider ; and Helena Alberta, Ulysses S. Grant and Ella Ezella A., at home, unmarried. He followed the farming pursuits until 1867, when he engaged in business at Port Colborne as a general merchant - a business which he has continued ever since, either in Port Colborne or Humberstone. He combines the grain buying business with his general store, and is one of the substantial men of the township. He enjoys the respect of his fellowmen in a high degree, and has filled many important public positions. While farming in Moulton he was elected reeve of that township. He has also been a member of the Port Colborne Village and Humberstone Township councils for a term of fifteen years, repeatedly representing the latter place in county council. In 1882 he was elected warden of the county of Welland, and in 1884 he was appointed by the Ontario Government a member of the board of license commissioners for the said county, which position he held for three years. His grandparents were among the first settlers of Canada. His grandfather, McKay Lawrence Furry came from Pennsylvania between the years 1780 and 1790, and enlisted with the British soldiers. He was wounded while fighting in battle during the war of 1812, for which he received a yearly pension up to the time of his death which occurred about the year 1850.

Hi:I have a rather comprehensive genealogy of Obediah Bancroft (d. 30 Sept 1850) and wonder what your sources are for your posting on rootsweb for this family.
Forgive me if I sound sceptical, but I have seen a lot of irroneous information on various of my research projects and am very particular about including unknown data in my own. I always give credit for information coming from outside sources. I am direct descendent from this family with data coming from inside family.
The families of Martha Ann "BENCROFT"/BROOKS and "Maria BENCROFT"/WESTOVER interest me most since I have the least information on them. I want to include your data if I can authenticate the parts I don't have.
I would be glad to share the whole descendency so you can make corrections once I finish entering all my data on my new REUNION genealogy package (probably end of September).
Would love to hear from you.
Regards, Bruce

Hello,
I am looking up information on an Almira who was married to a John Marshall of Canada. I am a descendant of theirs through their son Melanethon. I found on another website that Almira's name is Teeple. Her parents are listed as Luke Teeple and Nancy Finch. As I am curious to see if it is the correct Almira that is in your website. You have a very well organized website.

I am seeking information about a Mary Minor from Tennessee who was born in 1885 or 1886. She had siblings by the name of Mark or Marcus and Bertha or Birdie. She married a man named George W. Hazen and lived with him in California. Relatives lost track of her at the time but I have found her Social Security Death Index record and now know that she died in California 1970. If you know of a Mary Minor born in 1885 or 1886, who was raised in Tennessee, please contact me at westrich@mchsi.com
