Not yet .... lookin however.
Comments:
Trying to figure out if there is a "Whitefield Cemetery" in or near Richardson County. I have an obit from a family member that mentions it without giving a location. The source was the 1925 Humboldt NE paper. The obit is dated March 6, 1925 - Humboldt Nebraska, Richardson County. It reads in part: "Mrs. Sarah (Smelser) Hurst - Resident of this city Forty Years - Dies at Densmore, Kansas" and also "Funeral services were held in Densmore, and at the request of the deceased, which she had a number of times made, she was laid to rest in the family lot in Whitefield Cemetery."

So .... was Whitefield an old community that no longer exists? Was that a private family cemetery for the Whitefield family? Could it have been renamed since 1925? The fact that it doesn't mention the state (ie KS) suggests that it was a local name (to Humboldt NE) and was known by all. HELP!

I'm trying to locate Hiram Smith Waggener, Mary Creasy Waggener, William S. Waggener ( Hiram's son), & William's wife. The last that I found Hiram & Mary was in the 1910 census in Richardson Co, NE. I am hoping to find evidence of their burial. The only correct spelling of the last name seems to be in vol. V.
Thank you for any assistance you can give me.

RootsWeb changed the IP address for guest books without telling me.

Thus, all my guest books have been returning an error message stating "You must input at least your name, email and a comment. Please use your 'Back' button to try again".

I'm currently fixing all Guest Books and this one is back up and working.

Good afternoon - My name is Dean Podoll from LaVista, Ne. I'm an active member of our Civil War Club in Bellevue and we are attempting to gather more information on the 7,000 plus Civil War veterans buried in Nebraska. Richardson County has a large number according to our records. Do you have any process which identifies CW Veterans? Thanks.

My grandfather, Fred Noah, my stepgrandmother Ruth Noah and her first husband George Noah, my great grandfather Thomas Wesley Noah and his wife Ida Belle Hogan Noah are buried here.
Thomas Wesley Noah mother is suppose to be buried next to Thomas Wesley Noah but there is no marker there. Would like to put a marker there if I can find out more on this. She would be Stacy Ann Taylor Noah died around 1891 or 1890. Send me information on sending $ to keep up the cemetery
