Comments:
I am looking for any family with the surname of DURDEN that might assist me in learning the possible whereabouts of a Betty (Elizabeth?) DURDEN. She was most likely born ca l930. She was a Sunday School teacher in her home, the location of whihch is unknown to me. She and several other young ladies joined the Air Force Reserves in Georga following the outbreak of the Korean War and they were sent to Barksdale AFB, Louisiana in l951It is there that I met Betty. I grew very fond of her and in l951 I was transferred to England and subsequently lost contact with her. I would so very much like to learn where I might contact her and feel that about the only way I can hope to locate her is find some DURDEN families that may very well be realtives of hers and can assist me.

If you can help please contact me at "Harley@pahrump.net".
I will be forever grate full for your help.

Thanks,

Bill Kirk

Hello,
I am looking for the death record of Ella Gardner Hill, who died in 1897 or 1898 in a Waycross Georgia hospital where she had gone to have breast surgery for suspected cancer. (She lived in Florida) While recovering, she died suddenly from a blood clot. If anyone can give me any assistance as to where I might find any information, such as a list of hospitals in Waycross at that time, I would greatly appreciate it! I have no idea where she is buried, although I assume it may be in Florida where her family lived. Any help appreciated.

I am from Ware County and I am researching the Douglas/Douglass geneology. I have been trying to find out who my great-great grandfather's parents were. All I know his name was Burrell Douglass and I find him first on a 1850 Hamilton Co. FL census. Then land records shows him in Wayne Co. GA from around 1854 through around 1864. He and his family is on the 1860 Wayne Co. census. Then 1870,1880 Ware County census he shows up. He finally died around 1885 in Ware County, because the Waycross Headlight Newspaper has his sons James R. and Henry Douglass selling the land of their deceased father. The census records has him born somewhere between 1822 and 1824 in Georgia. Anyone with information on who Burrell Douglass's parents were please e-mail me. Just one note he also had a son who was named Burrell Douglass too. My e-mail address is jddoug@altamaha.net Thank you.
