Norman Capels was a member of the US liberationarmy in 1944. He was parachuted in my native town Eindhoven, Holland on Sept.17th 1944. I found a picture showing him with another soldier and two Dutch girls. One of his descendants might be interested. Awaiting his/her reply.
Kind regards

How did you find this site? a google search on my Dad- Frederick J Capels
Which surnames are you interested in? none
Do you have a related Web site? URL no
Comments:
My Dad is the other Frederick J. Capels.. He and his brother Henry and sister Mary changed their names from Capella to Capels to give it a more American sound. My Grandfather, a naturalized citizen, was born in Tyrol, Austria in 1891. His father had come to the states in the 1800s, but I have no record of that. Your history page is fascinating.

I am researching the Caples family of Mississippi. My ancestor is Samuel Caples living 1850 in Newton Co. Mississippi with his family. He was born in Maryland ca. 1790-1799. Most of his children moved to Angelina Co. Texas. You have a great page!! My lineage is as follows:

Richard Henry Caples and Evelina Windham
William Samuel Caples and Easter Jane McCreary
Lillie Mae Caples and Newton H. McGown
E.H. McGown and Alcie L. Neal
