This has the promise of being a very informative site. I can think of two small towns in Stewart County that I would consider "ghost towns". One would be Louvale (just north of Lumpkin) and the other would be Union...west of Louvale. I had family that lived in that area since the early 1800's. Looking forward to this site growing. Perhaps I can help in some way.

There is a ghost town on US 78 betwee Bremen and Villa Rica. It was a gold mining town. I went there in the 1970s. There were several buildings standing then. I am sorry that I don't remember its name. I will see if I can find out.

cannot get to info on the Ghost Towns. Was looking for a town in or near Harris County where my grandparents spent their honeymoon. I understand there was a resort hotel there. They were married in 1905.

Thanks for your web site.
