Orville Fairchild was born Oct. 9, 1892 at Gravel, Ill., and departed this life Jan. 25, 1950 at the age of 57 years, 3 months, and 16 days.

He was united in marriage to Clara Moody in 1908 and to this untion 2 children were born, Ray. B. Fairchild surviving and an infant daughter preceding him in death.

He was later married to Hattie Elza Pry and to the union 7 children were born: Genevive Middleton, Quanell Baldwin, Joseph Buel Farichild, Mary John Middleton, Pauline Gale Oliver.

January 3rd, 1939, he was married to Addie Stevens who survives him. His brothers are Ulment, Linn and Joe Fairchild.

He is survived by many other relatives and friends.

Services were held at the Methodist Church Jan. 28, 1950 at 2:00 with the pastor Rev. J.E. Isbell officiating. Internment was in the Dexter Cemetery. Watkins service.

Willie Anderson Oliver was born near Brownwood, Mo., March 2, 1887 and passed away at Malden, Mo., Aug. 7, 1947, at the age of 60 years, 5 months, and 5 days. Services were held at the First Gen. Baptist church of Dexter, with the pastor Bro. Thomas Bland officiating. Internment in the Essex Cemetery, Aug. 9 at 2:30 p.m.

Mr. Oliver united in marriage at an early age with Stella Hunsaker. To this union were 5 children, 2 daughters, Mrs. Luther Boone, of Essex, Mo., Mrs. Earl Hume of Pontiac, Mich., 3 sons, Sylvester, Raymond, and Billie Oliver, all of Dexter. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Stella Oliver, his mother, Aunt Nancy Deason, the above named children, several grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends to mourn his going.

He professed faith in Christ and united with the First Gen. Baptist Church in 1939.

Stella Mae Oliver, the daughter of the late James Hunsaker and Mary Bell Throne Hunsaker was born at Vincennes, Ind. Feb. 17, 1892 and died at the Poplar Bluff Hospital March 26, 1975 at the age of 83 years, one month and nine days.

Mrs. Oliver moved to near Essex as a small child and had spent the last 40 years in Dexter. She was a member of the North Mulberry Church of Christ in Dexter.

July 4, 1910 she was married to William Oliver and to this union six children were born. Her husband preceded her in death Aug. 7, 1947. Four children also preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Bill Oliver of Dexter, and Syl Oliver of Bernie, ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Hazel Swan of St. Petersburg, Florida. Also surviving are other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 29, 1975 at 2:00 p.m. in the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter with Bro. Jack Caraker of Dexter officiating. Internment will be in the Essex Cemetery. Friends may visit after noon Friday. Watkins and Sons Service Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Theone D. Hunt, daughter of the late Elisha Harris and Gracie Trusty Harris Black, was born on March 3, 1917, at Essex and died in the Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dexter on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, at the age of 86.
Mrs. Hunt was a homemaker and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Clifford Lee Hunt on Feb. 3, 1932, at Dexter. Mr. Hunt preceded her in death on May 6, 1995.

Survivors include four daughters, Freda Gales of Oxnard, Calif., Glenda Creg and Margaret Baker, both of Dexter, and Debbie Reese of Dixon; five brothers, Martin Black and Bob Black, both of Illinois, Isaac Harris, Jr., Donald Harris, and Lester Harris, all of Michigan; six sisters, Faye Wallace and Genevia Abernathy, both of Illinois, Margell Pruitt and Jeweldine Reilly, both of Michigan, Jewel Rogera of Missouri, and Wanda Skipper of Arizona; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Albert Hunt; two brothers, W.L. Black and Bobby Niblack; two sisters, Evelyn Triplett and Betty Black.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Bill Reese officiating.

Interment followed in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery in Dexter

0BITUARY FOR JOHN WESLEY CARTER

John W. Carter was borned on November 16, 1872 near Bloomfield, Mo. He departed this life at Sam Davis Hospital on April 14, 1954 at the age of 82 yrs. 7 mths, & 2 days. On April 7, 1915 he was united in marriage to Nora Ross and to this union were born two children, Paul & Kenneth Carter.
Those surviving are his wife, one son Paul Carter of Cape Girardeau, Mo., one step-son George Ross of Dexter; one niece Mary Pierce of Flint Michigan; one nephew Cleave Walker of Piggott, (Clay County) Arkansasand also six granchildren.
Kenneth preceded his father in death in March of 1921, also Mrs. Edna Grimsley, a step daughter, who passed away on November 8, 1951. His brother Frank Carter also preceded him in death.
Mr. Carter spent his whole life in Stoddard County and was a retired farmer at the time of his death. He moved to Dexter in 1942 until his passing. Funeral services were conducted from the Church of Nazerene on Wednesday afternoon, April 21, 1954. Rev. G.M. Pace assisted by Rev. Paul Johnson officiating Interment in Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri Strickland & Rainey Service.

Brittany, Joshua and Matthew Tinker of Dexter. Several Great Grandchildren as well.Mr.Eads was preceded in Death by one son,Mark Dewayne Eads . Services were held at the Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie,Missouri with Interment in the Bernie City Cemetery.

Eva Geneva Boyle, 85, of Bernie died Friday, October 22, 2004 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Boyle was born on March 24, 1919 at Koshkonong, Missouri. A homemaker, she was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Bernie.
On January 31, 1939, she married Gordon Boyle in Bernie, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 9, 1974.
Survivors include two daughters; Barbara Kean of Bernie, Missouri and Sharon Daniels of Parma, Missouri; two brothers, Frank Hunsperger of Dexter, Missouri and Bill Hunsperger of Dexter, Missouri; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

CHARLES HOWARD, retired farmer, dies. Charles Oscar Howard, 81, of Rt. 1 Painton, a retired farmer, died early Wednesday morning March 17 (1971) in a Dexter hospital where he was admitted March 16. Mr. Howard was born in Creal Springs, Ill. Aug. 14, 1889 (Should be 1890). His first wife, the former Miss Jessie Odhum (Owdom), dies in 1932. In 1944 he was married to Miss Clara Hefner who survives at the family home. Also surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Lennington of Jackson, Mrs. Dana Irwin of Perkins, Mrs. Maxine Lear of Waukegan, Ill., Mrs. Ella Brewer of Marion, Ill., and Mrs. Virginia Osburn,
Leavenworth, Kan.; five sons, Bert Howard of Advance, Billy Howard of St. Charles, Ned Howard and Charles Howard, both of Leavenworth, and jackie Howard of San Francisco, Calif.; 28 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Services were at 10 Friday morning March 19 at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance. The Rev. John Maynard, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Bell City, officiated and Burial was in Fairview Cemetery near Advance.
