Nice Page! I am going to ask one of the volunteer look up for some help. Amos Wilson has been a mistery man to us for some time. I found him some census records in Jefferson Township, and a son James H. Wilson also in your county, but he had two children, Benjamin and Nannie born in Iowa with no record. Wife was Nancy Jane (Staggers)

Hello, My name is Marcia and I've been on a long long mission. I have a great story. I have some old letters that were in an old bag that was purchased at at yard sale of all places... long story short.....These letters are to
a Rebecca O. Johson, Rebecca O. Hawkins, Rebecca Ransom.
From Oskaloosa, and neighboring counties. These are wonderful letters from the 1877-1903. They are from her family members who also lived in Oskaloosa and towns. These letters are in great shape complete with envelopes and
postmarks. My project is to find the next descending living person in this family as to return these wonderful heirlooms to their rightful place. I have searched every place I can think of and can't seem to find anything. I know this was a prominate family in their time. One of the letters even has advertising stationary of many merchants of Oskaloosa, it's dated 04/04/1879. Written by Warren Cooper Johnson. The family names I'm looking for are:
Abijah Johnson's children; Rebecca O'Neal Johnson>Hawkins>Ransom. She was a school teacher there.
Warren C. Johson, Machine Shop of Johnson & Collins Novely works. John Kelley Johnson Judge-Senator, his children.
Abijah Hawkins, Eli Hawkins, Sylvia Bailey Johnson(married)
to Amos McMillian> Thatcher, Ann Elizabeth Johnson.
I have many more but I'm most interested in Rebecca's immediate family. I've had these letters for 10 years and I want to finish this project and find my missing Johnson
family. I don't know a lot about genealogy but I just want to do the right thing and find the right person and give these letters to them to treasure and not end up on "Ebay"
After I finish my outlines and coping and final page, I will be glad to send you copies of these letters for you
town history file. I'm hoping someone will turn up some information.
