Hi, Thanks so much for putting up the Nancy Allen papers! The details provided a wealth of information on her and her husband Jacob Shaver for me. I wanted to ask where you got this, and if there was any more materials on Nancy Allen, Jacob Shaver, Philip Jenkins and their descendants that you know of. Thank you again, it was an invaluable resource.

hello, my name is Brandy and i came across your listing of the washburn family tree. in one post you mentioned a "minnie" washburn. my great-great-grandmother's name is Minnie Elizebeth Washburn-Hayes-Baldwin. She was married 3 times as you can see. Anyway i have a copy of Minnie's death record and her parents are listed as Joe Washburn and Sallie Duncan. Minnie's birthdate is listed as Sept. 5, 1881 and she died March 3, 1934.this is also all in maysville kentucky. that's where most of my family on my dad's side is from. i can't find anything futher than this, do you think it is possible that this is the same Minnie as you? well, let me know please thanks

Which line of Washburns are you descended from? Alexander Anderson
Comments:
Sorry, I couldn't find a link on your other website. I am a great, great, great, great grandaughter of Alexander Anderson and Rachel Stewart of Rhynie. I have been trying to discover what happened to James and John Anderson. Unfortunately the names are so common that identifying then is proving to be almost impossible. I have quite a lot of information about the other siblings and I have a copy of a letter written by my great, great, great grandfather, Charles Gardiner which details a little of his early life in Rhynie. Would you like to correspond?

Comments:
Please mail us. Catherine A Washburn is a sister to Peter Andrew Washburn who is my great grandfather. I am seeking info on his marriage, death and where he is buried. We cannot locate him in Ursa IL. We are also trying to connect Calvin Washburn which I think must be a brother to Harrison. Calvin and Evaline are buried at Buena Vista Big Mounds Cemetery in Keokuk, Iowa with my grandfather and grandmother David and Edith Washburn. Your website was wonderful. Thanks for all the great info.

Which line of Washburns are you descended from? Charles Allen Washburn
Comments:
This is a great Website (although difficult to read because of the print color blending with the background colors)! I married into the Washburn line and am merely researching the Washburns for the sake of my children (4), grandchildren (4)and great-grandchildren (2). I would love to hear from any one who could give me information about Charles Washburn and his background. He was born in Millford, Lassen County, California in 1873, married Mamie Maggini about 1905 or 1906 and had one child, Louis Michaelangelo Washburn, born in 1906 in Fresno, California. He (Louis) was born April 22, just three days after the Great Earthquake which caused so much damage in the California area, including Fresno as well as San Francisco.
Charles and Mamie were married only two years - she remarried three times but he never remarried. He died in Skagit County, Washington some time after 1930. Louis Michaelangelo (he later shortened his middle name to "Angelo") Washburn was my father-in-law. He was a few days over 100 years old when he died on May 5, 2006.
It would be wonderful if "my" Washburns were somehow related to some of the Washburns found in your research. I hope I haven't taken up too much space with this.
Good luck in your continuing research - you've done a commendable job!!

The blue links on blue background really degrade what could be a useful website. The fish make it even more impossible to read. Please consider improving your website by making it readable.

Which line of Washburns are you descended from? Gabriel's daughter, Eliza (b) 1814
Comments:
Just began work on Washburns. Have been concentrating
on Lambs. Eliza and John Hamilton's daughter, Martha C.
married William Riley Lamb of Calloway and Marshall co.
KY. Eliza and John would be my G-G-grandparents.
I found Gabriel in Caldwell co.,KY 1820 census which
makes me wonder about his son, Daniel being born in IN.
According to 1850 Census, Marshall co.,KY, Gabriel was
a Baptist clergyman.
