In 1845 Margaret Span Morper, widowed, arrived with most of her children at New Orleans and then came up to Scott County. Sons Michael and Johann Michael Morper carried the Morper family name forward, with Michael finally settling in southern Illinois. Anyone interested in copies of the birth records of either or both of these brothers, the marriage record of their parents, the birth record of their father, and the marriage records of the paternal grandfather, please contact me.

Seeking the date and place of death of Lawrence Bucher, son of Wendelin Bucher, born in Scott County in 1843 and married to Walburga Pfefferkorn at the time of the 1870 census.
Also seeking the date and place of death of Dorothy Morper, born in Bavaria in 1830, with family in Scott County by 1845, and buying property in 1848. If she had married, I am also interested in the name of her husband.
